Autumn Book Haul - 2022

I still haven't had a chance to go out and purchase books this season, but I was gifted a few! I've been really into cookbooks lately, so all the books in this haul are actually cookbooks. I'm super excited to dig through these and try out a few recipes!

Autumn Empties - 2022

 Hi, everybody! How was your weekend? Unfortunately, my son has been sick since late Thursday night. Thankfully it isn't Covid or RSV, but he has a GI bug with a high fever. I'm hoping he gets over it really soon. It's so hard to see him this sick and miserable.

On another note, can you believe Christmas is in less than a week?! This year has flown by so fast! I feel like I haven't used up as many products as I have in past seasons, but here are all of the products I was able to finish off.

Murad Daily Clarifying Peel

I honestly don't think this did anything for my skin. I didn't notice any difference at all. Unfortunately, this won't be a repurchased item for me.

Sol de Janiero Bom Dia Bright Cream

This is nice and thick and really moisturized my skin, but everything from this brand is heavily scented. I do prefer this to the scent of their Bum Bum Cream though.

BASD Seductive Body Lotion

I didn't really like this. It's a much more masculine scent than I would normally wear, and it took a long time to absorb into my skin.

Lady Gaga The Fame Perfume

 

I bought this a long time ago because the idea of a black perfume was something that really interested me. The scent is good too, but not enough for me to repurchase any time soon.

Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer

This was okay. Not great, but not bad either. I would use it again in a pinch.

Nude Stix Lash Lengthening Mascara

I liked this mascara, but I'm not certain if its been discontinued? I admittedly haven't searched very hard though. It lengthened my lashes and didn't flake or smudge around my eyes.

Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation Cream

 

This face moisturizer was fine. This hydrated my skin, but not any better than my trusty FAB Ultra Repair Cream that I love. Anyway, I liked it well enough, but not so much that I would go out of my way to repurchase it.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes

Eh, these are fine. I'm still on the look out for something better though.

Philosophy Grace Body Lotion

This scent is okay. The formula is a little too thin for my liking though. I don't feel like my skin soaked this up very much.

Olay Fresh Outlast Body Wash

I quite enjoy the scent of this and the way it made my skin feel. I'll most likely repurchase this again after I finish off my other body washes.

 

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Mini

 

I don't really have anything to say about this other than it keeps my brow hairs in place all day and I always repurchase it.

 

 

Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Creme

 

This was fine. I can't say that it made my blow outs look better than without it. It was easy to squeeze out too much product though. Otherwise, this tube lasted a very long time and I like that it is also a heat protectant.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping already (if you celebrate)? I just have stocking stuffers to figure out and then I'm done! I try to have my shopping done way before now, but this year was so crazy that I never got around to it until just last week. I'll be so glad to be finished though! Anyway, here's everything I picked up recently. It's not really much because I just haven't had time to go out and shop. Maybe I'll dig through the after season clearance for more. lol

2022 Photo Ornament

 

I started a tradition the year our son was born that we would get a new photo ornament every year with a picture of the three of us from that year. This is this years ornament. I forgot to get a picture printed early, so I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail.

Beauty Haul

 Hi, everyone! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? We had two Thanksgiving dinners over the weekend. One on Saturday with my in-law's and one on Sunday with my family. We were going to have dinner on Thanksgiving day at one of my sister-in-law's house, but she and her family caught covid, so we had to change things up a bit. Aside from not being able to see my sister-in-law and her family, last weekend was full of fun with our families.

But anyway, here's everything I received and bought over the last few weeks.

It Cosmetics Love Is The Foundation Brush

I've heard and read great reviews on this brush, so I finally ordered one. It's really cute, but hopefully it applies foundation well.

Scunci Hair Ties 2 Pack

I had no intention to purchase this, but my son grabbed it while we were at the store and tore open the packaging...so now I have a ton of hair ties.

Benherofun Electric Straightening Brush

My husband randomly found this on Amazon and thought I would like it. I've used it a couple of times. You just run it through your hair like a brush. It doesn't really brush the hair well, but it does a decent job at straightening. To be fair though, my hair is already pretty straight, so I don't know how well this would work on someone with very curly hair.

Maskiss 24K Gold Eye Mask

My husband got a little "goody bag" from work that had some random items in it. This was one of them. I love eye masks, so I gladly took this off his hands.

Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer

This was also in my husband's goody bag. I like Jergens lotions, so I know I'll use this up.

Dickinson's Micellar Witch Hazel Makeup Remover

This was sent to me for review from Influenster. It removes most makeup very well but it doesn't get all of my mascara off (mostly because I'm afraid to use this on my eyes).

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Body Wash

This was sent to me from BzzAgent for review. I've already used this exact body wash before, so I already know I love it.

Tony Moly Sheet Masks in I'm Cherry Blossom, I'm Honey, and I'm Tea Tree

I've been really low on sheet masks lately so I decided to grab a few more when I purchased the It Cosmetics foundation brush.

I like this scent and was able to score this for free on the B&BW app by using my rewards.

Final Fall/Halloween Decor Haul

Happy Halloween! I'm super excited for tonight. This will be my sons first year trick or treating. We're only going to go down our block and drive over to my parents' place, but I think my son will have a great time. What are your plans for today/tonight?

I've been picking up more fall and Halloween decor over the past few weeks. I might check out the after Halloween clearance sections, but I don't know if I'm going to have the time. Anyway, here's what I've got:

Hyde & Eek Creepy Cloth

I picked this up at Target because you can never have too much creepy cloth.

Spooky Tree

This is also from Target. I bought one a few weeks ago and immediately regretted not getting a second one, but when I went back the next day they were gone. Thankfully they got more in and I was able to pick up another one!

Coffin Set

My husband bought these for me off of Amazon (along with the Mickey and Minnie Halloween figures). The first one can hold anything you want and the second one is a makeup brush holder.

Pumpkin Head Skeleton

I found this at a local pumpkin patch. I thought he was too cute to pass up!

Wooden Spoon Set

These I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I really like the leaf on the top. I think these will be cute to have out for Thanksgiving.

 Potion Bottles

These are also from Target. The only one I'm missing now is the eye of newt (I think that's what it's called) bottle. I'm a little bummed the witches brooms label is a little messed up, but it was the only one left and I really wanted it to nearly complete my set.

Moss

I bought the glass coffin from Micheal's a while ago and I wanted to fill it with moss to create a "cemetarium".

Bath & Body Works Clearance

B&BW had a sale for 50% off all Fall/Halloween and then an additional 20% or 25% off, so I picked up a few more items. First is the black cat cosmetic mini backpack. I wasn't going to get it, but at the reduced price I figured, why not? I ordered two more soaps...Stardust Magic and another Vampire Blood. Then I picked the Enchanted Candy Potion 3 wick candle. Lastly, I got the light up jack o lantern soap holder.

My husband knows I love seasonal mugs, so he grabbed this one for me while he was out at the store.

 McDonald's Halloween Pails

I don't even eat McDonald's, but I saw that these buckets were coming back and I HAD to get one of each! I'm still sad that my mom got rid of our old ones from when my siblings and I were kids. I hate that these new ones don't have an actual lid, but they're still cute.

Rae Dunn Happy Halloween Mug

I picked this up mostly for decoration. I don't like how these mugs are shaped, but the seasonal ones are cute.
