Winter Empties & Review - 2026

 Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

Can you believe it's the end of March already?! This year is flying by so fast already. I'm already planning my sons' birthday parties. Here are all the products I was able to use up this past season.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation Deluxe Sample

I liked this foundation a lot. It matched my skin tone perfectly, and it looked great all day without sinking into my fine lines and pores. Whenever I finally run out of foundation, I'll likely purchase this one.

Olay Super Serum Body Cream

This was free from Influenster for review. I actually really liked this too. It's thick, but it sinks into the skin fairly quickly. It smells very nice. It also made my skin feel so soft and hydrated. I have some other body lotions to use up first, but I'm definitely repurchasing this when the others are gone. 

Layhomo Shea Butter Body Lotion

 

This wasn't hydrating at all. It felt like water. As soon as I rubbed it in, it was gone, and it felt like I didn't apply anything at all.  

 

 

Peach & Lily Super Oasis Concentrated Serum

 

This was fine. The formula is thin and sinks into the skin quickly. I don't feel like it did enough for its price though. 

 

Tatcha The Dewy Milk Moisturizer

 

This was fine too. I don't think it's good enough for me to purchase a full size of this. 

 

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner

 

I really like this toner. I use it on my face on body. I've already repurchased this product and it's an item I will always repurchase. 

 

NARS Climax Mascara

 

I really liked this mascara. It was very black, and coated my lashes very well. 

 

Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream

 

I liked this hand cream. It smelled fine and it was thick and kept my hands feeling soft and hydrated. 

 

Redken All Soft Mega Treatment

 

I love this treatment! You only need a little bit of this, so this lasted forever! It smells nice and made my hair feel so soft and healthy. 

 

 

Bath & Body Works A Toast to You Body Lotion

 

This scent wasn't my favorite. I wouldn't purchase it again. 

 

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Hand Cream in Lavender and Vanilla

 

This scent was okay. It smelled more like baby powder than lavender vanilla. This cream was thick and my hands felt soft after using it. I might try a different scent next time. 

 

 

Josie Maran Body Butter in Bohemian Fig

 

I liked how thick and moisturizing this body butter was, but I hated the scent. I might try a different scent, but I would not repurchase this one. 

 

PanOxyl Acne Creamy Wash

 

I wasn't a fan of this face wash. It has a chemical smell that I hated and it didn't do anything to help with my acne. I have a different face wash from this brand that I'm trying to use up now, but it smells the same as this wash and I'm hating it. 

 

 

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Brunette

 

I always use this dry shampoo. I like that it's tinted instead of white against my dark hair. 

 

Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream sample

 

I didn't really like this moisturizer. It didn't seem to hydrate my skin as much as I was expecting it to. 

 

Benefit Cosmetics Lolli Balm

 

I wasn't a big fan of this lip balm either. It has too bright of a pink tint to it. It didn't hydrate at all either.

I had more empties this season, but some of my files on my computer were corrupted and I no longer have those photos. In addition to what's pictured below, I also used up a First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser, an Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, a Caress body wash, a Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara mini, and a deluxe sample of Ranavat Brightening Saffron Serum.

Autumn Empties & Review - 2023

 Hello, everybody! How was your weekend?

I haven't had time to post much lately because we've been quite busy these days. I'm hoping after the holidays are over I'll have some more free time to post regularly again. So anyway, here's everything I used up over the last few months!

Verb Ghost Shampoo & Conditioner

*My husband threw away the conditioner bottle before I had a chance to get a photo.* I really like this shampoo and conditioner. I've purchased it before and I'll likely purchase it again soon after I finish what I'm currently using. The scent is nice, and it makes my hair look shiny and feel strong. I've read a lot of reviews saying this set made their hair fall out more, but I haven't had that issue.

Killian Love, Don't Be Shy

 

I received this for free from either Influenster or BzzAgent for review (it's been a while so I can't remember which one!) This scent is very strong, but I received a lot of compliments when I wore it. It is a warm. floral scent with vanilla. I liked it a lot, but it's very pricey.

Ouai Melrose Place

This is a beautiful fresh, floral scent. It's very long lasting without being overpowering.

Bath & Body Works Bahamas Hand Cream

This smells like summer vacation! Too bad it does absolutely nothing for my dry hands.

Maskiss 24K Gold Eye Mask

This was given to me and it was nice. I don't know that I would purchase it, but it wasn't bad.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

This wasn't my favorite foundation. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't repurchase it. It didn't cover up my redness very well and settled into my fine lines.

Bath & Body Works Blackberry and Basil Ultimate Hydration Body Cream

 

This was my first time trying out this scent, and I love it! I really hope B&BW brings it back in the spring because I need more!

Bath & Body Works Blackberry and Basil Shower Gel

 

Same with this! It smells just as good as the lotion.

Bath & Body Works Midnight Amber Glow Hand  Cream

 

This was okay. I don't feel like it did much to keep my hands moisturized, but the scent is good.

Tatcha The Rice Wash

This wasn't bad, but I don't understand all the hype around this line. I don't dislike it, but I also won't go out of my way and repurchase this.

Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub

This smells sooo nice! I like how my skin feels after using this too.

Ouai Leave In Conditioner

I don't really love the smell of this, but it helps detangle my hair and leaves it feeling very soft.

I also went through a tub of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, but my husband threw that away before I could snap a photo of that too. -.-

Autumn Empties - 2022

 Hi, everybody! How was your weekend? Unfortunately, my son has been sick since late Thursday night. Thankfully it isn't Covid or RSV, but he has a GI bug with a high fever. I'm hoping he gets over it really soon. It's so hard to see him this sick and miserable.

On another note, can you believe Christmas is in less than a week?! This year has flown by so fast! I feel like I haven't used up as many products as I have in past seasons, but here are all of the products I was able to finish off.

Murad Daily Clarifying Peel

I honestly don't think this did anything for my skin. I didn't notice any difference at all. Unfortunately, this won't be a repurchased item for me.

Sol de Janiero Bom Dia Bright Cream

This is nice and thick and really moisturized my skin, but everything from this brand is heavily scented. I do prefer this to the scent of their Bum Bum Cream though.

BASD Seductive Body Lotion

I didn't really like this. It's a much more masculine scent than I would normally wear, and it took a long time to absorb into my skin.

Lady Gaga The Fame Perfume

 

I bought this a long time ago because the idea of a black perfume was something that really interested me. The scent is good too, but not enough for me to repurchase any time soon.

Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer

This was okay. Not great, but not bad either. I would use it again in a pinch.

Nude Stix Lash Lengthening Mascara

I liked this mascara, but I'm not certain if its been discontinued? I admittedly haven't searched very hard though. It lengthened my lashes and didn't flake or smudge around my eyes.

Keys Soulcare Skin Transformation Cream

 

This face moisturizer was fine. This hydrated my skin, but not any better than my trusty FAB Ultra Repair Cream that I love. Anyway, I liked it well enough, but not so much that I would go out of my way to repurchase it.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes

Eh, these are fine. I'm still on the look out for something better though.

Philosophy Grace Body Lotion

This scent is okay. The formula is a little too thin for my liking though. I don't feel like my skin soaked this up very much.

Olay Fresh Outlast Body Wash

I quite enjoy the scent of this and the way it made my skin feel. I'll most likely repurchase this again after I finish off my other body washes.

 

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Mini

 

I don't really have anything to say about this other than it keeps my brow hairs in place all day and I always repurchase it.

 

 

Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Creme

 

This was fine. I can't say that it made my blow outs look better than without it. It was easy to squeeze out too much product though. Otherwise, this tube lasted a very long time and I like that it is also a heat protectant.

Summer Empties - 2022

 Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

Here are all the products I used up during the summertime.

Verb Ghost Hair Mask

I really liked this hair mask. I bought this from Sephora on clearance, so I was worried that it was being discontinued. However, it's still up on their website, but it says "limited edition". So I'm back to being worried that I won't always be able to purchase this product.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash

 

This was fine, but it felt like it left a residue on my skin that I wasn't a fan of. If it weren't for that, this would be great.

First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub

I don't think this worked very well. It didn't take away my KP issues at all. It felt like it was doing a good job; it was very abrasive without using much pressure, but my red spots haven't gone away at all. I would not repurchase this product, unfortunately.

ACO Perfecting Serum

I don't feel like this did anything useful to my skin either. I'm not even sure where to purchase this brand from, and for something that doesn't "wow" me, I'm certainly not going to go searching high and low for it.

 

 

Eva NYC Tone It Down Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner

I feel as though these products dulled my blonde rather than brightened it. Because of that, I won't repurchase these.

 

Keys Soulcare Be Luminous Exfoliator

I really liked this exfoliator! I was surprised when I first used it because I wasn't expecting it to be a powder, but it was gentle and my skin felt so soft after using this. Since it was a powder that you mix with water, this lasted SO long. I would 100% repurchase this!

 

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

If you've been around a while, you'll know that I use this lotion all the time. I like it, and I'll more than likely repurchase it once my new body creams run out.

 

 

Beauty Counter Overnight Resurfacing Peel

This didn't do anything for my skin. I didn't notice any kind of difference in my skin texture. Unfortunately, I would not repurchase this.

 

Peter Thomas Roth

 

The scent of this wasn't my favorite. I don't feel like this sank into my skin very well either. This is why I like to pick up deluxe samples of products. I don't have to regret buying the full size of this.

 

Degree Advanced 72 Hour Motion Sense Dry Spray in Vanilla & Jasmine

This smells nice, but I have to say that I am not a fan of spray on deodorants. I just prefer to use a stick deodorant.

 

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral & Flirty Blush

This smells nice and gets the job done. I really like this brand of dry shampoo because it works great without breaking the bank.

 

 

Soap & Glory Ultra Smoothing Lip Oil

 

This isn't actually empty, but there's a tear at the top and it's leaking like crazy. Unfortunately, I'm going to be tossing this out. I'm bummed about it because I really like this product! It feels hydrating on my lips and makes them so smooth and supple. The plastic is just too thin I think, so it tears easily.
