BH Cosmetics x Carli Bybel Palette Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend!

If you know who Carli Bybel is, then you know that she collaborated with BH Cosmetics and released her own limited edition eyeshadow and highlighter palette last month.  If you don't know who she is, she's a beauty guru who uploads videos on YouTube.  You can find her channel here.

This palette comes with 10 eyeshadow shades and 4 highlight shades.  All of the eyeshadow shades are neutrals in a mix of mattes and shimmers that are perfect for everyday.  There are two highlight shades that I definitely won't be able to wear as highlighters (the gold and copper shades) because they're too dark for my skin tone, but I can still use them as eyeshadow.  They're very smooth and easy to blend.  The pigmentation in these shadows is insane especially considering the low price for this palette!  This product is also vegan and cruelty free.  (A huge plus IMO!)  This palette retails for $20.00, but has been on sale since its launch for $12.50.  It really is a good deal even with shipping.  Shipping (within the US) is only $3.95.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Kiss & Love Collection

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're all doing well.

I've finally made my first YSL purchase.  (The three items I already have from YSL were sent to me from Influenster for free.)  YSL came out with five limited edition lipsticks in the shades Le Rouge (red), Le Orange (orange), Le Fuchsia (magenta purple), Le Nu (nude), and a Black Red shade that is available exclusively to Sephora's VIB Rouge members. *Update 11/05/15 I recently became VIB Rouge so I finally ordered the beautiful Black Red shade and added the pictures in this post!*  The shades themselves aren't new or limited edition, they've simply been repackaged in a limited edition case (with the exception of Black Red, I believe that one is a limited edition shade).

The shades I chose are Le Rouge (#01), Le Fuchsia (#19), Le Nu (#70), and Black Red (#71).  I didn't pick up the Le Orange shade because I don't like orange lipstick.  I don't think it suits my skin tone.  Anyway, these shades are beautiful and the packaging is just as stunning.  It's a luxurious gold case with the YSL logo in black on the front and one red kiss mark embossed on it.  The lipsticks themselves are also embossed with kiss marks along the sides.

Here's a few more pictures because they're so pretty together.  lol

Did you pick up any of these lipsticks?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend.

I finally have a drugstore palette to review and swatch for you.  I haven't purchased a drugstore makeup palette in a very long time.  Ever since I started to buy higher end makeup I haven't really gone back.  However, I've heard really good reviews about this particular palette so I decided to pick it up.

The packaging is your standard plastic packaging with no mirror and a couple of cheap foam applicators inside.  The shadows are pretty good for drugstore.  There are a few winners and a couple of losers in this palette.  Most of the shades are shimmer/glitter with the exception of one matte shade.  I do wish there was at least one or two more matte shades in this palette if I'm being honest.  Otherwise, this is actually a pretty nice palette.  This retails for $9.99 at Ulta, but most (if not all) of the coupons Ulta gives out work with this brand.

Bottom Row

I definitely prefer the bottom row for pigmentation, but I do like the last two shades in the top row.  I'm also liking the gold shade (bottom row, first shade from the right) and the three shades kind of in the middle of the bottom row (third, fourth, and fifth from the right).  My least favorite shades are the third from the right in the top row, the second from the right in the bottom row, and the very last shade in the bottom row.

What are your thoughts on this palette?  I actually really like this palette.  The pigmentation isn't too bad and most of the shades are very pretty.
