December 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I have this month's Boxycharm to share with you today.  I'm really happy with the products that I received in my box except for one.  I watched two December Boxycharm unboxing videos on YouTube last week, so I already knew that I wouldn't like the Pure Cosmetics eyeshadow palette that was included in this month's box.  It's practically identical to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette minus the good quality shadows.  In the two videos that I watched, the shadows looked powdery and not very pigmented.  I will say though, the packaging is quite beautiful even if it is a bit flimsy.  I decided not to swatch the shadows in this palette for my blog because I'm going to be giving it away.  I already own and love the UD Naked 3 palette, so I know I'll never use this one.  *And honestly, for the price of this palette, you may as well spend the extra $4 and get the UD Naked 3 instead!*

Anyway! This month's theme is Makeup On Pointe and the value of the products inside this month's box comes to $122.90.  I also received a coupon code for $40 off my first box from the subscription service Hello Fresh, making the grand total value of this box $162.90!

Pure Cosmetics Buff Collection Eyeshadow Palette - $50.00

Butter London Nail Lacquer in the shade Ruby Murray - $15.00

Ofra Cosmetics Metallic Liquid Lipstick in the shade Napa Valley - $19.90

Beauty For Real Lip Revival Scrub - $14.00

Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in the shade Stella - $24.00

And that's everything I received!  Are you subscribed to Boxycharm?  What did you receive in your box in this month?

For those who celebrate the holiday, I hope you have an amazing Christmas!  Thank you for stopping by!

Lorac Pro Palette 3 Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

Ulta sent out an email with a 20% off entire purchase coupon code for their platinum members, and I used mine to FINALLY purchase the Lorac Pro Palette 3.  I love the first two Pro Palettes and the shades in the third palette are beautiful.  Also, the collector in me just had to have it! ;)

This palette retails for $44 and holds 16 eyeshadows.  Like the other palettes, the top row is all matte shades and the bottom row is all shimmer shades.  There's a decent sized mirror as well. The packaging is exactly the same as the other two Pro Palettes.  The problem with this palette being the same packaging as the others is that, like the others, this palette gets messy easily.  The shimmer shades in this palette seem a bit more powdery than the shimmer shades in the two previous palettes.  They are very soft and had a significant amount of kick back while swatching them.  The shade Medallion had the most kick back and is the only shade in this palette that has a chunky texture.  There's one repeat shade in this palette, and that's the shade Jet Black.  Although, technically, the shade in the previous two palettes is "Black" and not "Jet Black", but I swatched both black shades and I cannot see any difference between the two.

On the left is the shade "Black" and on the right is the shade "Jet Black".  Honestly, they look the same to me.  What do you think?

Anyway, here are my swatches of the entire palette (shown without any primer):

To give you an idea of how much kick back these shimmer shades give off, I took a picture of the palette after swatching all the shades.  You can see that the shade Medallion kicks up the most.

I also took a photo of all three Pro Palettes together to show you the similarities and differences between shades.

And that's everything!  I hope this was helpful.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Garnier Fructis New Moisture Lock Shampoo, Conditioner, & Leave In Spray

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?  It snowed again here yesterday so we're snowed in for the day.  Not that I mind being stuck at home all day with my love.  ;)

I received the new Garnier Fructis Moisture Lock Collection with Cactus Extract a few weeks ago from BzzAgent for an honest review.  The Moisture Lock Collection is great for anyone with normal to dry hair because they prevent moisture loss by strengthening the hair strands.  Before I started using these products, my hair was dry and dull from the cold Autumn weather.  Even my scalp was dry - a problem that I've never had before!  Since using these products, my hair is shiny and silky.  The dryness on my scalp is also gone.  I have very straight, flat hair and thankfully these products do not add any weight to my hair.

The shampoo smells soooo good!  (My husband enjoys the scent too.)  This shampoo does lather quite a lot, so if that's not something you like in your shampoo then this one is not for you.

The scent for the conditioner is my least favorite of the three.  It doesn't smell bad, but it does smell different than the shampoo and leave in spray.  I still like it though because it makes my hair feel incredibly soft without adding weight like most conditioners do.  I stopped using conditioner a few years ago and have substituted it with coconut oil.  However, I may actually continue to use this conditioner once this one is empty!

Again, this product smells great.  It also makes combing through my wet hair easy and pain free.

Have you tried any of these products?  What are your thoughts?  I didn't think I would like the cactus scent at first, but I actually really enjoy it!  If you have normal to dry hair I would absolutely recommend these products to you.

I hope you have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Lip Smacker x Disney Tsum Tsum Haul

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

As you may have noticed, I'm a huge fan of the Disney Tsum Tsum lip balms from Lip Smacker.  They're adorable and smell amazing (minus the Donald Duck one, yuck!) as well as moisturizing.  I've been on a mission to collect every single one of them, and I'm lucky enough to have a sister who has been helping me out with that!  She picked up Marie, Tigger, and Dumbo for me.  And just when I thought I finally had them all, Lip Smacker announced four more!  So far, I've been able to find Jack and Sally.  My sister said she'd pick up Olaf and the Cheshire Cat for me if she finds them.  And just when I thought I had a good thing going, Lip Smacker announced three new ones!  I haven't been able to find any of those three yet, but I believe they're only available at Target.  I swear, just when I feel like I'm catching up LS brings out more just to mess with me!  Haha!  Anyway, here are the five that I got recently.

Are you collecting these lip balms as well?  (Please tell me I'm not the only addict around here!)  Which ones are you having a hard time getting your hands on?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week!
