January 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Unboxing - My First Ipsy Bag!

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

My sister has been subscribed to Ipsy for quite a while now, and I've never felt the need to subscribe myself because she always gives me the items that she doesn't want from her bags - which is usually about half of her stuff.  However, last month she sent me an email from Ipsy for one free month and the makeup addict in me couldn't refuse a free bag of makeup.  I don't think I'll continue my subscription to Ipsy though since I'm already subscribed to Boxycharm and I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Ipsy.  Quite honestly, this bag didn't amaze me.  The bag itself isn't cute, I already have at least two other blushes that are practically identical to the shade I received, the eyeshadow is a nice color but I rarely use loose shadows because they're too messy, and the bronzer is sooooo tiny!  I really like the shade, but there's NO WAY I'm going to be able to fit my giant bronzer brush in that pan!  I'm really only excited about the two sheet masks and the lip balm.  But I can buy those from the drugstore myself for a few bucks.

Rimmel London x Kate Moss Clear Lip Balm

Love Recipe Acai Berry & Aloe Sheet Masks

And that's what I got in my first Ipsy bag!  Are you subscribed to Ipsy?  If so, then what did you get?

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

January 2017 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

For today's post I have this month's Boxycharm to show you.  Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription service that offers 4-5 full size beauty products for only $21 a month and shipping is always free.  The theme for this month's box is "And the Charm Award Goes To..." and the total retail value for my box comes to $121.95!

This box was just okay for me.  There's a couple of things that I'm interested to try, but nothing really wowed me this month.  I'm happy that I received a fan brush because I don't own one yet (crazy, right?!) and the highlighter duo is nice.  The bronzer might work for me if I use a light hand with it.  I'm hoping it isn't too dark or orange toned for my skin tone.  The sponge is a bit interesting, but not an exciting kind of interesting (does that make sense?).  Finally, the roller ball perfume has an okay floral/sweet scent, but a little definitely goes a long way with it.  I gave myself a headache when I initially tried it on.

*Gorge Amazing Konjac Sponge - $18.00

So Susan Fan Brush - $18.95

Vintage Highlighter Double in the shades Rose Quartz & Chocolate Diamond - $35.00

Pur Cosmetics Mineral Glow Bronzer - $25.00

English Laundry Pour Femme Roller Ball - $25.00

What did you receive in your box this month?  How do you like your products?

I hope you have a good weekend, and thank you for stopping by!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

I received some money for Christmas and I decided to use a portion of it to purchase the Too Faced Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette.  I missed out on this palette when it was first released, but I was so excited when I learned that it was being reproduced.

The palette itself so adorable and smells amazing!  I like that all the shadows in this palette are the same size instead of like the previous palettes that had two larger shadows.  I've heard some people complain that there should be more peach toned shades in this palette, but I feel like there's a good balance of shades.  I think if they were all peachy shades it would be a rather boring palette.  I have to say though, I'm not impressed with the matte shades in this palette.  They all felt dry and weren't very opaque.  They looked great swatched on my finger, but when I swatched them on my arm I had to go over them multiple times to get them to show up.  The shades Candied Peach and Talk Derby To Me are the worst.  There was no pigmentation for either one with one swatch, just glitter.

As usual, this palette also comes with a step by step guide on three different eye looks.

Have you had a chance to pick up this palette?  What are your thoughts?  I really like the shimmer shades in this palette.  I wish the mattes were just as good though.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a good week!
