Summer Book Haul - 2022

Hi, everyone! How was your weekend?

If you saw my last post, you'll know that we've been crazy busy around here the past few weeks. As a result, I haven't had much of a chance to shop around for books. However, these are the books I did manage to pick up during the summer.

Canterbury Classics - Hans Christian Anderson's Complete Fairy Tales

You already know I love these leather bound books. I just cannot get enough of them. The covers are incredibly detailed and stunning.

The 123's of Creative Doodling by Lindsay Ostrum & Friends

When I was in high school, I came across this book at a friend's relative's house. I completely forgot about it until recently and decided to search on Amazon for it. When I finally found it, I quickly purchased it. I was obsessed with doodling as a teenager, so this book easily grabbed my attention. It's definitely bringing back fun memories!

The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

I've enjoyed all the Grady Hendrix's books I've read so far, and I have read rave reviews about this one in particular, so I caved and bought it. I can't wait to dive into this book!

That's all I picked up over the last few months. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Spring Book Haul - 2022

Hey, everybody! How was your weekend?

You may have noticed, but I didn't post a winter book haul. My husband was in a car accident in early January (he's fine, thank goodness, but his truck was totaled), and it messed up his shoulder for a little while. We were very busy with doctor and physical therapy appointments on top of car shopping, so I didn't have time or energy to look around for new books. Everything eventually settled down in March, and my husband has been doing great, so I'm back to buying books that I don't have space for! Haha..ha..haaa. Seriously, I have no room to put any more books, but I can't stop myself. Lol Anyway, here's what I purchased recently!

Classic Supernatural Stories (Barnes & Noble Leather Bound Edition)

I just adore these leather bound books from Barnes & Noble and Canterbury Classics. The covers are absolutely stunning and vibrant. This specific book was typically $50+ on Amazon, but I saw it on sale for $35 and there was only one left in stock so, of course, I ordered it.

Classic Tales of Horror (Canterbury Classics Leather Bound)

My hubby got this for me as part of my Mother's Day gift. I love a good spooky, scary story so I can't wait to read this!

Trisha's Kitchen

I've really been into cookbooks lately, so my mom gave me this one as part of my birthday present. I had no idea Trisha Yearwood wrote cookbooks, but there are a lot of delicious looking meals in this! I'm excited to try some of them out.

That's all I've picked up recently. What are some books you've been wanting to read? I have a huge TBR list, but never enough time. Ugh!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Collective Book Haul

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

I'm so excited for this post because it has to do with one of my all time favorite things.  Aside from makeup and beauty, one of my other favorite hobbies is reading.  I love to read!  There is just nothing better than finding a cozy place to sit and relax with a drink (preferably an iced chai!) and a good book.  I enjoy holding a physical book, but I don't mind using an e-reader or listening to an audible book.  This post is just going to cover the new physical books that I've obtained over the last few months though.  I can't wait to read them all when I get the chance!

Harry Potter Illustrated Collection

These were a birthday present.  I've already read this entire series, but I can't wait to see all of the illustrations in these books!

DC Icons Series

My husband bought these for me for our anniversary.  I just noticed while taking these photos that Leigh Bardugo (the author of the Grisha series) is the author of Wonder Woman, so now I'm even more excited to read these books!  I find it intriguing that each book is written by a different author.  It will be interesting to see the different writing styles between each of these books.

Crooked Kingdom

This book was part of my Mother's Day gift.  I'm currently reading this book, and my only complaint with this one is that the little "Netflix" sticker on the bottom left corner isn't actually a sticker, it's part of the jacket.  I really wish it was a sticker so I could remove it.

Canterbury Classics Leatherbound

The H.P. Lovecraft and Jane Austen books were gifts from my husband.  Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales was my first leather bound book and the beautiful covers ignited my new obsession.  I have so many of these leather bound books on my Amazon wish list now and I fully intend to purchase every single one.

Barnes & Noble Leatherbound

This was another birthday present.  I just love the details on the front, side, and back of this book.  Honestly, photos do not do these books justice.  They are so much more special in person.

Those are all of my new books!  What book(s) have you been wanting to read?  I have a lot of books on my TBR list.  Obviously all of these books are included.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!
