Winter Book Haul - 2026

 Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I was expecting this post to be super small since I put myself on a book buying "ban". It's a "half" ban. I have to read 5 of my physical books before I can buy another one. I was able to buy one book this season! But I was given a lot from my husband for Valentine's Day.

Dracula by Bram Stoker

Yes, I know it's my fourth Dracula book and I don't need it, but it has freaking bats on the edges. I have no self control.

Pen Pal by J.T. Geissinger

We had a blind date book swap at my book club (which ended up being the week of Valentine's Day), and this is the book I got.

Winter Book Haul - 2024

 Hi, everyone! This post is coming out a little late. I haven't had access to my computer for a few weeks now. With the new baby coming, we had to move our computers out of the room we were using as our office so we could turn it into a bedroom.

Spring Book Haul - 2023

 Hi, everyone! How has your holiday weekend been?

All of these books (except for the last one) are books that I received for my birthday at the beginning of the month.

Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

This is the second book of the King of Scars duology. I already have the first book and was gifted this for my birthday, so I'm ready to start reading this mini series!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I've heard great things about this series, so I can't wait to start reading this!

Crumbs & Doilies by Cupcake Jemma

The recipes in this book are incredible. I'm excited to try to recreate some of them.

The Skinny Taste Air Fryer Cookbook by Gina Homolka

We just got a new (and bigger) air fryer recently, and I'm ready to try out some new air fryer recipes.

The Witch's Feast A Kitchen Grimoire by Melissa Jayne Madara

The recipes in this cookbook are stunning. I don't believe in witchcraft or anything, but the recipes in this book are beautiful and rustic. I think these will be amazing for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

 

This ended up going on sale for less than $6 on Amazon so obviously I snatched it up! It was brand new and still wrapped in plastic.

Summer Book Haul - 2022

 Hi, everyone! How was your weekend?

If you saw my last post, you'll know that we've been crazy busy around here the past few weeks. As a result, I haven't had much of a chance to shop around for books. However, these are the books I did manage to pick up during the summer.

Canterbury Classics - Hans Christian Anderson's Complete Fairy Tales

You already know I love these leather bound books. I just cannot get enough of them. The covers are incredibly detailed and stunning.

The 123's of Creative Doodling by Lindsay Ostrum & Friends

When I was in high school, I came across this book at a friend's relative's house. I completely forgot about it until recently and decided to search on Amazon for it. When I finally found it, I quickly purchased it. I was obsessed with doodling as a teenager, so this book easily grabbed my attention. It's definitely bringing back fun memories!

The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

I've enjoyed all the Grady Hendrix's books I've read so far, and I have read rave reviews about this one in particular, so I caved and bought it. I can't wait to dive into this book!

Spring Book Haul - 2022

 Hey, everybody! How was your weekend?

You may have noticed, but I didn't post a winter book haul. My husband was in a car accident in early January (he's fine, thank goodness, but his truck was totaled), and it messed up his shoulder for a little while. We were very busy with doctor and physical therapy appointments on top of car shopping, so I didn't have time or energy to look around for new books. Everything eventually settled down in March, and my husband has been doing great, so I'm back to buying books that I don't have space for! Haha..ha..haaa. Seriously, I have no room to put any more books, but I can't stop myself. Lol Anyway, here's what I purchased recently!

Classic Supernatural Stories (Barnes & Noble Leather Bound Edition)

I just adore these leather bound books from Barnes & Noble and Canterbury Classics. The covers are absolutely stunning and vibrant. This specific book was typically $50+ on Amazon, but I saw it on sale for $35 and there was only one left in stock so, of course, I ordered it.

Classic Tales of Horror (Canterbury Classics Leather Bound)

 

My hubby got this for me as part of my Mother's Day gift. I love a good spooky, scary story so I can't wait to read this!

 

Trisha's Kitchen

 

I've really been into cookbooks lately, so my mom gave me this one as part of my birthday present. I had no idea Trisha Yearwood wrote cookbooks, but there are a lot of delicious looking meals in this! I'm excited to try some of them out.

Autumn Book Haul - 2021

 Hello, everyone! How was your holiday weekend?

These are the books I've purchased/have been given this season. I'm trying to convince my husband that we need to move into a bigger house. My book collection is getting close to needing a whole room to themselves!

The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse

This was pretty good. Lots of twists just when you think you've realized who the killer is.

Go The Distance by Jen Calonita

 

I've read one "Twisted Disney Tale" already, and this is my second purchase. I really enjoy Disney re-tellings.

The Southern Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

I've read amazing reviews about this book, so I finally picked it up. I've only read one other Grady Hendrix book, but I enjoyed it, so hopefully this will be enjoyable too.

 

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

 

I really like the Grisha verse, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this book too.

 

Classic Works From Women Writers

 

This is another leather bound classics book. I think they're absolutely beautiful. I have every intention of collecting all of them.

 

The Montessori Toddler by Simone Davies

I heard good things about this book, so I wanted to check it out for myself.
