Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

A couple weeks ago my hubby bought me the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette that I've been dying to get my hands on.  I was a bit disappointed that this Naked palette didn't come with a small freebie like the other Naked palettes do.  All three of the previous Naked palettes have come with a free Primer Potion.  I'm not too bummed out by this though since I have at least 5 eyeshadow primer samples from other palettes that I still haven't used.  The packaging for this Naked palette is really cool.  The sides and back are a transparent grey plastic.  The cover for this palette is gorgeous.  It's light grey with swirls of dark grey "smoke" all over.  And of course it has it's usual large mirror, double ended brush, and a magnetic closure.  Most of these shades are stunning.  There are a couple matte shades that are a bit "eh" for me (Password & Whiskey).  I feel like Urban Decay does shimmer shades better than matte shades most of the time.

Small Too Faced Haul!

Hi, everyone!  I hope you all had a lovely week last week!  I was sick for the majority of it - fever, cough, sinus congestion/pressure, and strep throat.  It was also the week my husband took off for vacation, and the poor guy had to spend it taking care of me.  He didn't mind, but I still feel bad that he had to spend his vacation looking after a sick wife.

On to business, last month I received an email from Too Faced with a coupon code for 20% off my entire online order.  Because I have absolutely zero self control, I found myself browsing their website a bit and decided on two products.  I already have two of the Sweetheart blushes and had no intention of purchasing the third because I thought it would be too dark for me.  But the OCD in me wasn't having it, so I picked up the third Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in the shade Peach Beach.  And now my collection is complete...  The other item I ordered was the limited edition Bonjour Soleil Bronzer palette.  This palette was actually on sale on their website for $39.60 before applying my 20% off code.  Too Faced also offers two free samples with all purchases, so I picked the Primed and Poreless Pure Primer deluxe sample and the mini LashGASM mascara.

And because the OCD in me is finally satisfied with the fact that I own all three of these blushes now, I had to snap a couple of pictures of the three of them together...yes, I am that lame.

I hoped you enjoyed seeing my little haul (and cringing at my OCD lol)!  Have a wonderful week!

Urban Decay Electric Palette Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I'm very excited about today's post because I finally purchased a palette that I've had my eyes on for quite some time now.

The Electric palette retails for $49 and has 10 bright, in your face shades that are great for a colorful look or just a pop of color.  There's a mix of matte and shimmer shades and includes a double ended brush and large mirror.  The packaging for this palette is gorgeous.  It has bright, vibrant splashes of color on the lid.  It has a semi-decent magnetic closure.  Most of the shades are buttery smooth, but there are a couple that are less creamy.  A few of the shades stained my fingers while doing the swatches.  Another con with this palette is four of the shades are "not for use around the eye".  The four shades are Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban.  Honestly, idgaf if they're not supposed to be used around the eye because Jilted and Urban are beautiful and I want to use them.  (If I end up having eye issues I'll be sure to let you know, lol!)
