Sephora Favorites: Paint It Pink Limited Edition Set

Hi, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I recently purchased the limited edition Paint It Pink set from Sephora.  This retails for $40 and has a value of $122.  The packaging for this set is very pretty.  It's pink (obviously - as well as everything inside) and has gold details and beautiful flowers all around the sides.

There are eight products in this set and three of them are full size.  The full size products are an original Beauty Blender, a Velour Lovers Lip Colour in the shade French Kiss from Laura Mercier, and an Urban Decay single shadow in the shade Scratch.  The five deluxe sample size products are a Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pressed Rose Gold from Becca Cosmetics, a Roller Lash mascara from Benefit Cosmetics, a Deborah Lippmann nail polish in the shade Baby Love, an Artist Plexi-Gloss in the shade 202 from Make Up For Ever, and an Amazonian Clay 12 Hour blush in the shade Blissful from Tarte Cosmetics.

Swatches

Laura Mercier lipstick

Urban Decay eyeshadow

Becca Cosmetics blush
Tarte Cosmetics blush

So there you have it!  I think this is a really good deal considering the three full size products in this set cost $67 combined.

Are there any products in this set that you'd like to try or are some of your favorite products?  I've never tried the Laura Mercier lipsticks, the Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash mascara, or the Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Glosses before, so I'm excited to give those a go.  I'm not a big fan of the Beauty Blender, so I might give this to my sister or a friend.  I've tried other shades of the rest of these products before so I already know that I like their formulas.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Update & My Makeup Collection: Bronzer/Contour

Hello, everyone!  I hope everyone who celebrated the holiday had a wonderful Easter!

I want to start off by apologizing for being MIA these past few weeks.  Things have been a little bit hectic around here.  We had some nice, sunny days so we were doing a lot of yard work and we have a lot more to do.  When we moved in to this place I really wanted to have all the yard work done before spring break, but there's just so much to do and we keep finding new things that need to be fixed.  We just found out a tree in the backyard is so dead it's basically hollow and there's a hornet's nest inside.  YAY!  (That was sarcasm, just FYI.)  My "day job" is providing child care and I really want the yard finished and safe for the kids to be able to play outside.  It rained for most of last week, but it's supposed to be really nice this week and weekend, so I'm hoping we can get a lot more done.  If my posting becomes a bit inconsistent these coming weeks, it's because I've been spending most of my time doing work around the house and I'm very sorry.  I just really want to get everything finished before summer break starts because I'll have the kids that I watch all day, everyday.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, for today's post I'm going to show you all of my bronzer and contour products.  I'm still learning how to contour, so I don't have too many contouring products and only a few bronzers, but here they are none the less.

Contour - Kat Von D "Shade + Light" palette

Bronzer - Too Faced "Bonjour Soleil" bronzing palette, Too Faced Soulmates "Ross & Rachel" and "Carrie & Big" Blushing Bronzers, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer, Nars "Laguna" bronzer, Bare Minerals mineral bronzer in "Warmth", and Model Co. "Highlighting Trio"

And that's all I have for contour/bronzer products.  If you have any recommendations for contouring products let me know in the comments because I would really like to try out some more.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

My Makeup Collection: Mascara

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

I'm sorry that there wasn't a blog post on Thursday.  My husband damaged his muscle in his right shoulder last week and had to wear a sling, so I've been busy taking care of him. *He's doing better now, thankfully!*

For this week's MMC, we're going to take a look through my mascara collection.  I recently went through and tossed ones I didn't like an gave away a few, but here's what I have left!

Full size mascaras: Rimmel London's Lash Accelorator Endless, Loreal's Miss Manga, Touch In Sol's Stretchex, and Urban Decay's Perversion.

Sample size mascaras: Too Faced's Better Than Sex and LashGasm, Bobbi Brown's Smokey Eye, Nars' Audacious, Benefit Cosmetics' Roller Lash, Make Up For Ever's Smoky Extravagance, and MAC's False Lashes Extreme Black.

I only have three mascaras open at the moment (Better Than Sex, Miss Manga, and Perversion), and of the unopened tubes I've only tried the Makeup Forever mascara before - the rest are all new to me.

What are some of your favorite mascaras?  I've tried quite a few, and some of my favorites are Benefit's BadGal Lash, Bare Minerals' Flawless Definition, and YSL's Volume Effet Faux Cils.

I hope you liked this and thank you for stopping by!
