Too Faced Melted Matte Candy Cane Liquid Lipstick Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?  The past week and a half have been a bit hectic for me, but today is David's 30th birthday so we're going to spend the afternoon together after work and go out for dinner tonight. <3

Today I have the limited edition Too Faced Melted Matte liquid lipstick in the shade Candy Cane to show you.  I'm not going to lie, I purchased this solely for the packaging and the scent.  The handle has pink and red stripes and the lipstick is peppermint mocha scented.  That's literally all it took for me to "need" it.  Haha!  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a sucker for anything limited edition!

This liquid lipstick retails for $21.00 and has 0.4 oz of product.  This has a doe foot applicator and is infused with a no sting plumping filler.  I didn't feel any tingling or stinging sensation when I wore it.  I also didn't notice much (if anything) in the way of plumping.  Which is alright with me because I didn't even know this was supposed to plump the lips until I was reading about it after I already purchased it.  This is a beautiful and *bright* fuchsia/pinky-red shade.  A little too bright for the season in my opinion, but I still think this would look nice in holiday photos.

 

What are your thoughts on this limited edition liquid lipstick?  I think the scent is a bit strong, but other than that I really like it.
