Hello, everyone! How has your week been so far?
I know, long time no see. My posts across all platforms have been sporadic at best lately. I've taken a break from most social media for the past month+. In both my personal and work life, things have been super crazy and stressful, and trying to keep up with social media was quite low on my priority list. Things are starting to settle down now, so hopefully I'll be back to posting full time very soon. *Well, as long as I didn't just jinx myself!*
Anyway, today I have the new Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in the shade 50 Dew You? to review.

You receive 0.8 oz of product for $44.00 US, which I think is pretty steep for a highlighter. The packaging is quite luxurious. It's a sturdy glass bottle with a pump top. This soft golden peach shade is universally flattering and gives the skin a beautiful, glowy complexion. It looks stunning mixed with foundation or as a base for a powder highlighter. This highlighter will most likely last you a long time because a little goes a long way with this product! For my swatch photo, I used one pump and I still had a lot left over on my finger after blending.
The cool thing about this highlighter is that it's infused with five forms of coconut to give the skin ultimate hydration. There is coconut water to add electrolytes, coconut milk for hydration, coconut alkanes for a longer wear time, coconut polysaccharides for extra conditioning, and of course coconut fragrance to give this highlight its light coconut scent. I don't know if this is just me or not, but I noticed a slight cooling effect on my skin after applying this. I'm guessing it's from all of the coconut ingredients.
If you are someone who doesn't like the scent of coconut or are someone who wants an intense in-your-face highlight, I don't think you're going to enjoy this. The scent isn't terribly pungent, but you can definitely notice it. I actually like the smell of coconut, so that isn't an issue for me. As for intensity, this is rather soft. However, you could build this product up if you desired.
Have you tried this highlighter yet? Let me know your thoughts on it in the comments below!
I hope you found this helpful. Thank you for stopping by. Have a nice weekend!
*I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.*
