Beauty Product Declutter

Hello, everybody! How was your weekend? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I've accumulated a lot of products again, so I decided it was time to go through everything and get rid  of products I don't like or have too much of. So without further ado, here's everything I'm decluttering!

Matrix Biolage Smooth Proof Serum

I still have a ton of hair oils even though I've decluttered quite a few already over the years. Since my hair is fine, I only use the tiniest bit of oil. There is no way I'll ever go through all the hair oils that I currently have. I decided to keep a couple small jars of oil and get rid of this large bottle.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream

This shade was just a little bit too dark for me. The product itself isn't bad, but I live in the pnw and we don't get a lot of sunshine here. By the time summer comes around again this will be expired.

Estee Lauder Futurist Skin Tint Serum

This was a perfect shade match for me, but I could not make this foundation look good on my skin. I've tried no primer and then all different kinds of primer. I applied this using a sponge and a brush. Nothing I did could make this look nice on me. It accentuated my pores and creased all over. Such a bummer!

These colorful hair ties

I asked my husband to pick up some hair ties for me a long time ago, and he grabbed these bright colored ties. I never use them. If I'm using this type of hair tie, I reach for my neutral shades. I have 2 shades of brown and black hair ties that I use. I think I'll keep these around (just not mixed in with my hair stuff) to give away to anyone who comes over and needs a hair tie.

Hair Dryer Brush

I've used this a couple of times, but I just never reach for it. The brush part doesn't work for me. I'd rather just use my traditional hair dryer.

These hair clips

I liked them when I bought them, but I never use them anymore. I'm trying not to hang on to anything I don't actually use.

Not pictured: Coty Airspun Powder

I didn't get the chance to snap a photo of this. My mom saw that I was getting rid of it, and she asked if she could have it so I gave it to her. I barely used it. The powder is HEAVILY scented. Like, headache inducing. The powder itself is fine. It's a great drugstore option if you can get past the smell.

Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray

This setting spray has glitter in it, so I never use it. If it didn't have glitter, it would be fine.

NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt

I never reach for this anymore. The color is nice, but I never use it.

Bare Minerals Maximist Eyeliner

I didn't like the brush for this eye liner. It was hard for me to get clean lines with it.

Wet N Wild Single Shadow in Creme Brulee

I never reach for this either. I usually just use a neutral shade in whichever palette I'm using that day.

Revlon Matte Powder Blush in Blushing Berry

Like most of the makeup items in this post, I never reach for this anymore. The shade is beautiful, but I don't use it.

BH Cosmetics Rose Blush Duo

The highlight shade in this duo is too dark for me, and the blush is shimmery. As you can probably guess, I never use this.

Meidian Green Mask Stick

I have two of these, and I really only need one.

That's everything I'm decluttering for now! Thank you for stopping by, and have a great week!

Random Beauty Declutter - 2023

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I've been slowly going through all of my makeup/skincare/haircare/etc. collection and decided to try to declutter a bit more products that I'm either not going to use or have too much of. These are the products I'm getting rid of for now!

Redkin Blondage Shampoo

I used to have blonde hair, but I decided to go back to dark brown. Obviously, I no longer need this anymore.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer in Sun Kissed

I hate the color of this bronzer. It pulls VERY yellow on my skin tone, and just looks weird on me.

Michiru Hair Regrowth Treatment

Not worth it. The instructions say to apply this twice a day, but it makes my hair look and feel greasy and disgusting. No amount of time or dry shampoo made my hair look cleaner after applying this. I'd rather have slightly thinning hair than hair that looks nasty.

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer

This is very glowy. Too glowy. My skin looks like an oily mess when I use this primer.

Cle De Peau Correcting Cream Veil

This one hurts to let go of. It's my first Cle De Peau product, but it doesn't work with my skin type. It clings to my dry patches and sinks into my pores and makes them more pronounced.

YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector

I do like this, but I never reach for it anymore. My skin used to be pretty oily, but it's more normal now. Even if I do see some oil on my face, I'd rather use a blotting sheet instead of this because it disrupts my makeup.

Philosophy Amazing Grace

This came from a set of 3. I like this perfume, but I have so many perfumes now and I'm trying to only keep the ones I love and will use often. I'm keeping the other 2 versions of this, but I think my mom will get more use out of this one than I will.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Serum

I didn't even get around to taking a picture of this product because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about this yet, but I'm going to. I received this free from BzzAgent for review. I was instructed to use this twice a day for two weeks. I used this 3 times and stopped because it broke me out in a ton of white heads all over my face! I don't have sensitive skin, and I've used a lot of It Cosmetics products before with no issues. I would much rather have some redness that I can cover up with makeup than a face full of white heads.

That's everything I'm decluttering for now! Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Declutter - Beauty Products

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I've once again gone through all of my beauty products to see if there was anything I wasn't using and could get rid of. I found a few things, so here they are!

Divi Shampoo and Conditioner

I only used these once. I could tell after that one use that I didn't like these. My hair immediately felt dry and straw-like. After looking at other reviews, I realized I wasn't the only one with this experience. That's very strange considering they're marketed as a hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

Shu Uemera Wata Wave Dry Finishing Spray

This product made my hair feel sticky and like there was a lot of residue in it. I've only used this once or twice, but that was enough for me.

Random Palette

I'll keep the empty palette, but I'm getting rid of all the products inside. This is a random assortment of highlighters, blushes, and eyeshadow. I like all of these, but I never, ever reach for it. In fact, I had completely forgotten about it until I went through all of my makeup recently. There's just no point in keeping any of it if I don't even remember that I have them.

Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Gold Bar

I bought this because it was limited edition and I missed out on the high end gold bar highlighter. Honestly though, I'm never going to use this because it's too dark for me anyway. Thank goodness I didn't pay for the expensive version.

Wet N Wild MEgaglo Multi Stick

This is nice, but I just never use it. If I'm picking a stick highlighter to wear, I'll choose the Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up or Marc Jacobs highlighters instead.

Buxom Power-Full Lip Scrub

This didn't do anything. There are hardly any exfoliating beads and the balm is very waxy.

Covergirl Clean Liquid Foundation

I bought this because this is pretty much the foundation I used to use in middle school and early high school, and I wanted to see if it still looked good on my skin. It does not. lol

That's everything that I'm getting rid of this time. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week!

Beauty Declutter - 2022

Hi, everyone! How was your weekend? I had my two wisdom teeth removed last Friday morning so I've been taking it easy and resting as much as possible. They were the two on my left side. It seems I don't have wisdom teeth on my right side. Not that I'm complaining. lol My top wisdom tooth just needed to be pulled, but my bottom wisdom tooth was still under the gums so it had to be cut out. Thankfully I haven't felt much pain and the swelling is almost gone now. Woohoo! Hopefully your weekend was better than mine though.

Anyway, I recently went through all of my makeup, skincare, and nail polish and de-cluttered quite a bit of products. Over the last decade, I've purchased and received so many beauty products that there is no way I can possibly use everything up. I let my family members go through everything I'm getting rid of and then threw away whatever was left.

Nail Polish & Accessories

These are polishes that I either don't wear or have other polishes that are very similar in color already. I'm also getting rid of my nail stamps because I couldn't get them to look clean and sharp on my nails so I never use them. I also never wear these glue on nails so I'm getting rid of those as well.

Face Makeup

These are products that I just never reach for. I have so many bronzers, highlighters, and blushes that I really don't need to hang on to these when I know I'll never wear them. I wouldn't say they're "bad", they just don't appeal to me.

Lip Products

Again, I have SO many lip products that there's no reason to have as many as I do. I mostly got rid of shades that I never reach for like purples and browns. I also de-cluttered all of my lip liners (except for one clear one) because I NEVER use lip liners.

 Eye Products

I almost never reach for single shadows, so I'm getting rid of what few I have. I also de-cluttered some eyeliners that I know I won't wear. The brow gel is too light for my natural brow shade so I know I'll never use it. I used the Revlon mascara once and it clumped up my lashes really bad so I know I'll never wear it again either. It's really difficult for me to de-clutter eyeshadow palettes, so deciding on these five is a bit of an accomplishment for me. In truth, I never reach for these palettes so there is absolutely no reason to hold on to them.

Hair Products

I've been getting highlights in my hair for about a year, so I'm not using this dark brown Batiste dry shampoo right now. I really did not like this DP Hue finishing spray so there's no reason to hold on to it. Finally, I have so many hair oils that I knew I needed to de-clutter a few so these are the three I chose.

That's everything I'm getting rid of for now. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful week!
