New Beauty Haul!

Hello, everybody! How was your weekend? Can you believe it's already the end of July?!

I really need to cut back on my beauty purchases. I have so much stuff that I need to use up before I buy any more products. I think it's time to go through all of my products and create a "use it up" bin. Anyway, here's all the new products I've received/bought recently. T.T To be fair, most of these were free. So there's my excuse this time.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash

This was free from Influenster. I like that it's lightly scented since I use a lot of other scented products. This lathers up nicely and my skin feels clean after I use it.

Sun Bum Sunscreen SPF 30 Lip Balm in Kiwi

I'm really trying to take better care of my lips. I never thought to use SPF on them until just a couple years ago. This is fine.

Lip Smacker Lip Balm in Pink Lemonade

This was given to me. It's so nostalgic! Lip Smacker was my favorite brand of lip balm when I was in school.

Summer Friday Self-Care Celebration Birthday Gift

My birthday was in June, and this was one of the options for Sephora's free birthday gift.

Laura Mercier Lunar New Year Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Do I need this? No. Did I buy it anyway because it's a red lunar new year edition and it was on sale? Absolutely yes.

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

This was also free from Influenster for review. I really like this skin tint! It's a perfect shade match and it looks so nice on my skin.

Lip Smacker x Hello Kitty 10 Piece Lip Balm Party Pack

I picked this up from Ulta. I know, I know. I don't need anymore lip balms, but I can't resist when it comes to Hello Kitty products.

Lip Smacker x Hello Kitty Peach Gummy

This was also from Ulta. It's very bulky, but it's cute.

Olaplex No. 3 & No. 7 Duo Kit Birthday Gift

This was the birthday gift from Ulta this year.

It's A 10 Miracle Leave In Product

I love this leave in treatment. It smells nice too.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar

This was another free product to review from Influenster.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion

I really like this, as you know. I repurchase it constantly.

Kitsch x Hello Kitty King Size Satin Pillowcases

I had $50 worth of reward points to use at Ulta, so I ordered these two pillowcases (both on sale - one was half off for $13 and the other was only $6.50) and the serum under these.

Peach & Lily Super Oasis Concentrated Serum

I've never tried anything from this brand before, but I've heard great things about it. I'm excited to see how it works for me.

Armani Beauty Skin Tint in L1

This was another free gift for review from Influenster. I like this skin tint, but the shade is a tiny bit too dark for me. That's on me though. It can be difficult choosing a shade online. I thought I picked the one closest to my skin tone.

That's all for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Random Beauty Declutter - 2023

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I've been slowly going through all of my makeup/skincare/haircare/etc. collection and decided to try to declutter a bit more products that I'm either not going to use or have too much of. These are the products I'm getting rid of for now!

Redkin Blondage Shampoo

I used to have blonde hair, but I decided to go back to dark brown. Obviously, I no longer need this anymore.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer in Sun Kissed

I hate the color of this bronzer. It pulls VERY yellow on my skin tone, and just looks weird on me.

Michiru Hair Regrowth Treatment

Not worth it. The instructions say to apply this twice a day, but it makes my hair look and feel greasy and disgusting. No amount of time or dry shampoo made my hair look cleaner after applying this. I'd rather have slightly thinning hair than hair that looks nasty.

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer

This is very glowy. Too glowy. My skin looks like an oily mess when I use this primer.

Cle De Peau Correcting Cream Veil

This one hurts to let go of. It's my first Cle De Peau product, but it doesn't work with my skin type. It clings to my dry patches and sinks into my pores and makes them more pronounced.

YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector

I do like this, but I never reach for it anymore. My skin used to be pretty oily, but it's more normal now. Even if I do see some oil on my face, I'd rather use a blotting sheet instead of this because it disrupts my makeup.

Philosophy Amazing Grace

This came from a set of 3. I like this perfume, but I have so many perfumes now and I'm trying to only keep the ones I love and will use often. I'm keeping the other 2 versions of this, but I think my mom will get more use out of this one than I will.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Serum

I didn't even get around to taking a picture of this product because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about this yet, but I'm going to. I received this free from BzzAgent for review. I was instructed to use this twice a day for two weeks. I used this 3 times and stopped because it broke me out in a ton of white heads all over my face! I don't have sensitive skin, and I've used a lot of It Cosmetics products before with no issues. I would much rather have some redness that I can cover up with makeup than a face full of white heads.

That's everything I'm decluttering for now! Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

New Beauty Haul

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

We went to Halloweentown in St. Helens, OR for the first time! I've been wanting to go for many years since we only live an hour and a half away, but I would always forget until the last weekend and we wouldn't have time to get up there and back. It's a cute little town and such a fun event for anyone who loves Halloween or the Halloweentown movies.

Now without further ado, here are the new products I picked up or received recently.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Twist Trio Gift Set

I received this from Influenster for review. I really like the scents in this set. I think it's a bit expensive for how small the bottles are, but all three scents are wonderful.

Estee Lauder Futurist Skin Tint Serum

This was also sent to me from Influenster for review. I really want to love this, but I've tried all different kinds of primers and even no primer with this foundation and it just doesn't look great on my skin. Maybe it's just my skin type. I'm acne prone with some dry spots. The shade match is perfect though and I like the thin consistency.

Wet N Wild x Marilyn Monroe Icon Highlighter in Cool Champagne

I just happened to randomly see this in the Halloween section at the grocery store. I'm very much out of the loop when it comes to new beauty launches, so I had no idea this collection even existed! I'm so glad I was able to find a shade that will work for my skin tone though.

I haven't had much time or energy lately to browse for new makeup, so that's everything new for now! Have you picked up any of these products? What are your thoughts on them?

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a ~spooky~ Halloween!

Spring Empties - 2018

Hello, everyone! I know I've been MIA for the past month, but I've been feeling quite unmotivated for a while now.  For some reason, makeup just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be for me.  Does anybody else have these feelings too?  Sometimes I'm an addict for all things beauty, and then other times it just all seems so unnecessary.  I'm currently in one of those ruts, but no worries because I know I'll bounce out of it again soon!  :)

Anyway, I wanted to show you all of the products I used up during the spring (that are not a part of my Project Empty challenge this year) as well as share my thoughts on them.  I don't have a whole lot of products since I haven't really been into wearing makeup lately, but here's what I do have:

Noxema Classic Clean Original Deep Cleansing Cream
I've been using this product on and off for many years.  I really like the cooling, tingling sensation and that it deep cleans without my face feeling dry after.

Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Eye Cream
I don't think these little sample sizes are enough product to determine whether or not they actually work for me.  I never see any difference after using one of these small sample sizes.  This one felt nice, but again, I didn't notice much of a difference after using it.

Sea Breeze Astringent
I'm no longer going to be using this toner.  I never realized that this had so much alcohol in it and it was severely drying out my skin.

Dr. Brandt Needles No More
I don't really have any wrinkles, so I don't know if this works well or not.  It didn't disrupt my makeup when I wore it though.

That's everything I used up these past few months.  What have you used up recently that you enjoyed?

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great weekend!
