Boxycharm Unboxing - October 2017

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I have my Boxycharm unboxing to share with you!  Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription service that offers 4-5 full size products for only $21.00.  This month's box theme is Spellbound, and my box has a total value of $138.00!

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion - $58.00
I was pretty excited to see this in my box this month because I really liked the last Dr. Brandt exfoliator we received.  I can't wait to try this out!

Jonteblu Lip Liner Pencil in Spice - $5.00
I've never heard of this brand before, but this liner swatched smooth and pigmented.  I don't really like wearing dark nude/brown lip shades though, but I'll try this under different lip colors and hopefully I'll like how it looks.  My card says it can be used for lip contouring which I don't normally do, but I'll definitely try it out.

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Pillowtalk - $20.00
I am not a fan of this shade at all.  It's described as a "white nude" and it looks like concealer on my lips.  My husband told me I should wear it for Halloween because it makes me look dead.  LOL

Dirty Little Secret Eyeshadow Crayon in Illusion - $14.00
This shadow stick is creamy and pigmented.  I also really like the shade I received.  It's a peachy-golden shade that I think will look stunning all over the lids.

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in Prosecco Pop - $41.00
I really wanted the pressed powder version of this since I rarely use liquid highlighters.  I tried to slowly pump out just a little bit to swatch, but a ton of product came out anyway.  I feel like I'm going to waste about half of this bottle because it pumps out way more than I need.  It's a gorgeous shade, but it may be a bit too golden for my skin tone when I'm not tanned.  I may keep this to use on my body though.

This box was so-so for me.  I would be much happier with it if I had received different shades of the lip items.  Unfortunately, both lip products are in shades that I won't wear.  I'm hoping Boxycharm will eventually allow us to choose shades we like/dislike.  Or at least use our skin tone to determine which shades to send out.

August 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

Today I have my Boxycharm unboxing for you.  Receiving my Boxycharm box is definitely one of my favorite days of the month!  I love that they offer 4-5 full size products in each box instead of small samples that I can get for free with purchase.  There are a few different subscription options available, but the monthly subscription is $21 each month for $100+ worth of products.  This month's box is valued at $118.95!

Here's what I received this month:

Coastal Scents - Blush and Bronzer Mini Palette + Brush ($13.95 + $6.00)

Aloette - Aloe Pure Time Repair Serum ($48.00)

Doucce - Maxlash Volumizer Mascara ($22.00)

 

Beauty For Real - Shadow Stx in the shade All Day Latte ($19.00)

Dirty Little Secret - Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Phantom ($10.00)

 And that's everything!  I really don't need anymore mascaras, but I'm very excited to try everything out.  I like that the shades on the outside of the packaging of the liquid lipstick and shadow stick are true to the color inside.  The blush and bronzer palette is pigmented and the shades are very nice for my skin tone, but I don't think the bronzer shades will show up on deeper skin tones.
