February 2017 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?  I'm currently on vacation (since Tuesday) and I don't go back to work for another week.  I'm just having a relaxing "stay-cation" at home since my husband still has work.

Anyway, this month's Boxycharm came in the mail this week and it's a good one!  The theme for this month is "Would You Be My Galentine?" and has a total value of $164.95!  They also included a 25% off coupon code for Dr. Brandt's website that's good until March 1st.  If you're interested in making a purchase, the code is boxy25.  It's only valid on one full size product.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator - $79.00
I received a deluxe sample of this product from Sephora that I've been using recently and both my husband and I really like it.  I think there's only enough product left in my sample for one more use, so this full size bottle came just in time!

Doucce Mineral Matt Lipstick in Gorgeous Red - $20.00
The packaging for this lipstick is pretty cool.  I like the chrome and sleek look of it.  I think by now everyone knows how much I love red anything, so obviously I'm looking forward to wearing this bright red lipstick.  I have to say though, this has more of a satin finish than a matte finish.  It doesn't completely dry down and has a bit of a sheen, but I don't mind either of those things.  It has a vanilla scent to it, so if you don't like that then you won't like this.  This lipstick also leaves behind a pink stain which does bother me a bit, but I can get over that.

Sedona Lace Trio Eye Kit - $39.95
These brushes have soft, synthetic bristles and are cruelty free.  This trio consists of one blending brush (EB-13), one liner brush (EB-16), and one brow/spoolie duo brush (EB-17).  I have never tried any brushes from this brand, but I'm always up for trying out new makeup brushes.  I'm the most excited to try out the brow brush.  It looks similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow brush that I've been wanting to try out.

Z Palette Small - $14.00
I have two large "Z Palettes" but neither one is from the brand Z Palette, so this is technically my first one.  This palette holds nine standard size shadows and is the perfect size for traveling with.  I love that they collaborated with Boxycharm and designed this palette to look like the box!  Also included are magnets with either glue or tape on one side to adhere to shadows that are not magnetic.

Makeup Geek Single Shadows in Beaches & Cream & Glamorous - $6.00 each
I hate to admit this, but these are my first Makeup Geek eyeshadows!  I guess I just haven't gotten around to checking out their website yet, haha!  These shadows are smooth and pigmented.  They are both beautiful shades and feel easy to blend.

What did you receive in your box this month?  Was this box a hit or a miss for you?

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

August 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

Today I have my Boxycharm unboxing for you.  Receiving my Boxycharm box is definitely one of my favorite days of the month!  I love that they offer 4-5 full size products in each box instead of small samples that I can get for free with purchaseThere are a few different subscription options available, but the monthly subscription is $21 each month for $100+ worth of products.  This month's box is valued at $118.95!

Here's what I received this month:

Coastal Scents - Blush and Bronzer Mini Palette + Brush ($13.95 + $6.00)

Aloette - Aloe Pure Time Repair Serum ($48.00)

Doucce - Maxlash Volumizer Mascara ($22.00)

Beauty For Real - Shadow Stx in the shade All Day Latte ($19.00)

Dirty Little Secret - Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Phantom ($10.00)

And that's everything!  I really don't need anymore mascaras, but I'm very excited to try everything out.  I like that the shades on the outside of the packaging of the liquid lipstick and shadow stick are true to the color inside.  The blush and bronzer palette is pigmented and the shades are very nice for my skin tone, but I don't think the bronzer shades will show up on deeper skin tones.

I hope you have a great weekend, and thank you for stopping by!
