New Beauty Haul

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I haven't purchased too much lately as I'm mostly trying to use up products instead of collecting them. However, sometimes I run out of things or find something interesting that I want to try. So here are the few new products I picked up recently.

Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion

I've decided that I want to step away from scented body lotions, at least for a while. I use a ton of scented products in my day to day life (scented soaps, detergent, hair products, perfume, etc.) that I really don't feel the need to add to the scents with my body lotion. Long story short, I bought this lotion instead of something heavily scented.

Vertex Eyeliner Stencil

I rarely apply eyeliner these days, and as a result I'm not very good at doing it anymore. Haha! I want to try out this stencil and see if it really helps me out.

Maybelline Dream BB Fresh Skin Hydrating Beauty Balm

I am STILL on a mission to find my holy grail foundation! I haven't tried this before, so here's hoping it's good.

La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser

I've heard a lot of great things about this brand, so I decided to branch out and give it a try. I was in need of a new cleanser, so this was an obvious choice for me.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5

I'm not going to lie, TikTok made me buy this. I'm interested to see if it lives up to the hype.

That's everything new for me! Have you tried any of these products?

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have an amazing week!

New Beauty Haul

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

We went to Halloweentown in St. Helens, OR for the first time! I've been wanting to go for many years since we only live an hour and a half away, but I would always forget until the last weekend and we wouldn't have time to get up there and back. It's a cute little town and such a fun event for anyone who loves Halloween or the Halloweentown movies.

Now without further ado, here are the new products I picked up or received recently.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Twist Trio Gift Set

I received this from Influenster for review. I really like the scents in this set. I think it's a bit expensive for how small the bottles are, but all three scents are wonderful.

Estee Lauder Futurist Skin Tint Serum

This was also sent to me from Influenster for review. I really want to love this, but I've tried all different kinds of primers and even no primer with this foundation and it just doesn't look great on my skin. Maybe it's just my skin type. I'm acne prone with some dry spots. The shade match is perfect though and I like the thin consistency.

Wet N Wild x Marilyn Monroe Icon Highlighter in Cool Champagne

I just happened to randomly see this in the Halloween section at the grocery store. I'm very much out of the loop when it comes to new beauty launches, so I had no idea this collection even existed! I'm so glad I was able to find a shade that will work for my skin tone though.

I haven't had much time or energy lately to browse for new makeup, so that's everything new for now! Have you picked up any of these products? What are your thoughts on them?

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a ~spooky~ Halloween!

Influenster Urban Decay Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I have the new Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation to review.  I received the shades 11NN and 20NN.

20NN is a little dark for me right now since I'm pretty fair.  11NN is a perfect match for me though.  Thankfully I didn't notice any oxidation when I wore it.  The formula is quite runny and it doesn't feel cakey on the skin.  It's a medium but buildable coverage with a matte finish.  I prefer a high coverage foundation that only needs one layer because I have quite a bit of redness in my cheeks.  I had to apply two coats of this foundation to cover my redness.  It claims to minimize the appearance of pores, but it settled into all of my pores and fine lines.  It also claims to have up to 24 hour wear, but I'm not about to test it to find out for sure.  I wore it for around 6 hours and it looked similar to how it did when I first applied it.

As I said, this is two coats of the foundation in outdoor, natural light.  It looks okay, but I definitely won't be running to the store to purchase this again when I run out.

Have you tried this foundation yet?  What are your thoughts on it?

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.*

Hello, everybody!  How was your weekend?

This week I'm going to be showing you all of my foundations/BB Creams/CC Creams/tinted moisturizers, etc.  I don't own very many because I don't like having a bunch of open foundations at one time.  Also, I'm STILL on the hunt for my "Holy Grail" foundation, so if you have any suggestions as to which foundation I should try next, let me know in the comments!

Bare Minerals Made-2-Fit Fresh Faced Foundation in my customized shade & Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation in Soft Ivory

BB Creams
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in Light & Pur-lisse BB Tinted Moist Cream in Light

Tinted Moisturizer
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude

Powder Foundation
Bare Minerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation in Golden Fair

That's all the foundation that I own right now.  Again, any recommendations are gladly welcome.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

BareMinerals Made-2-Fit Foundation Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I recently ordered this Made-2-Fit Fresh Faced liquid foundation from BareMinerals and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.  For $49.00 USD you get 1 fl oz (30 ml) of foundation.  The bottle is thick glass and has a pump to dispense product.  My name and the date that my foundation was formulated are both printed on the bottle.

If you're interested in purchasing this foundation, you have to download the Made-2-Fit app (available on iOS and Android) on your cell phone because it uses your camera to create your custom foundation shade and then you can proceed to order it through the app.  The app is easy to use and provides clear, simple instructions.  After you perform the scan, you can create an account and your customized shade will be saved so that you can reorder it if you desire, or you can perform the scan again for an updated shade match, which is perfect for the changing of the seasons when we get/lose a tan.  Standard shipping is free, but there is the option to pay for express shipping.  The free shipping was fairly quick (3-5 business days), my foundation was formulated on January 30th and I received it on February 5th.

There's no scent, which is always a relief if you're someone who is sensitive to fragrance.  This foundation is lightweight and offers light coverage that can be built up to medium coverage.  The finish is very natural, not too matte and not too dewy.  So far, this hasn't caused me to break out, but my skin also isn't very sensitive.  I'm happy to say that my customized shade matched my skin perfectly!  I was a bit hesitant at first because it swatched quite dark on my wrist, but it blended into my face and neck without the dreaded "mask face".  In my "after" photo (bottom), I applied one layer of foundation with a Crown brush.  I'm not wearing face primer, concealer, or any powder products.  The only makeup I'm wearing, aside from the foundation, is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and Tom Ford Indian Rose lipstick.

Have you used this foundation?  What are your thoughts on it?

I hope this was helpful.  Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great weekend!

*I was given a coupon code from Influenster to receive this product complimentary for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.*

My Makeup Collection: Foundation

Hello, everyone!  I hope you had a nice weekend!  David and I got back from camping yesterday.  Also, today is my 28th birthday!  :)

For this week's MMC I'm going to show you my foundations.  I don't have many foundations.  It seems to be the one product that I don't have in excess.  Finding a good foundation is hard though!  I've tried so many and liked so few.  Anyway, here is what I have.

L'oreal True Match

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream

Clinique Even Better

Bare Minerals Matte Loose Powder Foundation

Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm

Juice Beauty CC Cream

And that's all I have for now.  I really need to try out more and find that one holy grail foundation.

Do you have any recommendations for me?  I've tried the Tarte Amazonian Clay and hated it.  I couldn't find a match for my skin tone with Nars.

I hope you have a great week, and thank you for stopping by!
