Influenster Urban Decay Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

Influenster recently sent me this new Urban Decay Stay Naked Correcting Concealer for review.  Honestly, I wish they would have sent it out at the same time as the foundation so I could have just reviewed them together.  Oh, well.

Pros: I received the shade 10NN which works perfectly with my skin tone and the foundation that I received a few weeks ago.  The formula is vegan and on the thin side so it blends out easily.  The packaging looks nice and sleek.  There are 25 shades available so everyone can find their perfect match.  This concealer did cover up the darkness under my eyes after applying a single coat.

Cons: Unfortunately, just like with the foundation, this settled into my fine lines and made them appear more pronounced.  It also seemed to make my skin look even drier than it really is.  Finally, the retail price for this concealer is $29.00 which I feel is quite steep especially since it made my skin look terrible.

In short, this unfortunately isn't a product I would purchase.  Have you tried this concealer?  Do you like it?  Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Influenster Urban Decay Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I have the new Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation to review.  I received the shades 11NN and 20NN.

20NN is a little dark for me right now since I'm pretty fair.  11NN is a perfect match for me though.  Thankfully I didn't notice any oxidation when I wore it.  The formula is quite runny and it doesn't feel cakey on the skin.  It's a medium but buildable coverage with a matte finish.  I prefer a high coverage foundation that only needs one layer because I have quite a bit of redness in my cheeks.  I had to apply two coats of this foundation to cover my redness.  It claims to minimize the appearance of pores, but it settled into all of my pores and fine lines.  It also claims to have up to 24 hour wear, but I'm not about to test it to find out for sure.  I wore it for around 6 hours and it looked similar to how it did when I first applied it.

As I said, this is two coats of the foundation in outdoor, natural light.  It looks okay, but I definitely won't be running to the store to purchase this again when I run out.

Have you tried this foundation yet?  What are your thoughts on it?

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Influenster Sleek Makeup Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  Long time, no chat!

As I'm sure most of you know by now, I'm currently pregnant with my first child.  If you didn't know and you've been wondering why there has been a lack of posts from me, that's why!  I haven't been spending money on new makeup lately and I've been to busy to play around with makeup.  I've been considering including mommy + baby posts on my blog, but I don't know if any of you would be interested in those.  Let me know what you think.  I'd love to have baby updates and other baby related posts on here.

Anyway!  I recently received a voxbox from Influenster with a few new products from Sleek Makeup.  I've never tried this brand out before, so I was pretty excited to get this box in the mail.

Highlighting Elixir Illuminating Drops in Poppin' Bottles ($9.00)
The packaging for this isn't the best.  Every time I take the dropper out a ton of product comes with it and makes a mess on the bottle.  Otherwise, this is really nice!  The shade is perfect for my skin tone, and since it is a liquid it doesn't emphasize any texture on my face.

Loose Pigment in Euphoric ($6.50)
I'm not the biggest fan of loose pigments because they're messy and high maintenance compared to a pressed shadow.  This is a cool shade though.  (Of course I'd say that, red is my favorite color.)

Lifeproof 12 Hour Wear Metallic Eyeliner in Up To No Good ($6.99)
Holy smokes, this is very metallic!  It's even brighter in person!  I'm not sure when or where I'd wear this liner, but the pigmentation is amazing.  The formula is creamy so it doesn't skip or tug on the skin.

That's everything I got in the box.  Have you tried these products or this brand?  What are your thoughts?  I like that the products are inexpensive but still good quality!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Influenster L'Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I haven't received a voxbox from Influenster in quite some time, so I was pretty excited to find out that I was being sent some new lippies from L'Oreal.

These lip stains are incredibly opaque while still feeling lightweight on the lips.  The matte finish is surprisingly comfortable - I normally hate the way matte liquid lipsticks feel!  Application and lining of the lips is made super easy with the precision doe foot applicator.

What do you think about these new lip stains?  Have you had a chance to try them out?

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a good rest of the week and weekend!

Influenster L'Oreal Paris Cica Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I recently was sent the new L'Oreal Revitalift Cicacream from Influenster for review, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you.  This anti-wrinkle cream is gentle on sensitive skin as well as fragrance free, paraben free, alcohol free, dye free, and dermatologist & allergy tested.  Cicacream is designed to strengthen the skin barrier to protect the skin from pollutants and resist the signs of aging, fight wrinkles, hydrate, and firm the skin.  Centella Asiatica (also known as Tiger Grass) is an herbal medicine with the ability to aid in healing.  Tigers are known to roll in this plant to heal their wounds, hence it's nickname.  L'Oreal recommends using this cream in the morning and evening after cleansing and before moisturizer.  This cream is quite thick but doesn't feel greasy on the skin.  I haven't noticed any difference in my fine lines, but my skin feels hydrated after using this so far.  I'll continue to apply this everyday and will report back about any changes after a couple more weeks.

Have you tried anything from this line?  What are your thoughts?

I hope you have a great weekend, and thank you for stopping by!

Influenster L'Oreal Paris Elvive Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

For today's post, I have a hair product that I wanted to talk about.  I recently received this L'Oreal Paris Elvive Revive Extraordinary Oil from Influenster for review, and I've been using this product since it showed up in the mail about two weeks ago.

This lightweight oil can be used before shampoo + conditioner, through the lengths and ends of dry hair after shampoo + conditioner, or before styling.  It's meant to treat dry hair instantly leaving it silky soft and hydrated.

The first time I applied this to my hair, I ran it to the lengths and ends of my wet hair before styling.  After blow drying, my hair looked smooth, but it didn't look shinier than usual.  Later, I smoothed this onto my dry hair in an attempt to add luster and shine.  I noticed a slight increase in shine, but nothing outstanding.  I've used this a few more times since, but I only ever notice smoothness and never an increase of shine to my hair.

I'm glad that I had the chance to try this out because I love testing out hair oils, but this is one that I won't repurchase.  I have other hair oils that I like that give my hair more shine and luster (coconut oil is my go to!) than this one offers.

I hope this was helpful!  Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Influenster Sally Hansen Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?  My husband and I just had two birthday parties to go to over the weekend.  This is the time of year that is so busy for us, and for everyone else, I'm sure!  Between my family and my husband's family it's almost nonstop birthdays and anniversaries from October 1st - mid January, not to mention the holidays. *sigh*

Anyway!  I received two of the new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polishes from Influenster for review.  The shades I have are Heather Hustle which is a light lilac, and Petal to the Metal which is a pink glitter.  Neither are colors that I would normally choose to wear during this time of year, but they will be beautiful for Spring.

Here are Sally Hansen's claims that I can vouch for:
The Insta-Dri polishes dry in only 60 seconds and have a 3-in-1 formula with built-in base coat and top coat which eliminates two steps from the process of applying nail polish.  This is by far the fastest drying nail polish that I own!
These polishes offer full opacity in a single coat.  *As seen in picture below!*  This formula is perfect for anyone who needs a new mani in a minute!

Here are the claims that are off the mark for me:
These polishes have a streak-free formula.  I did notice some streaking during the application process and even after the polish has dried.  I think adding a second coat might help cover that up though.
My nail polish always chips on my after one day.  Unfortunately, so do these even though they claim to be chip-free for an additional day longer than other leading polishes.

Overall, these are so-so for me.  I really enjoy how quickly they dry.  I wish all nail polishes dried as fast as these do.  However, they're a bit streaky and they chip just as fast as other brands.

Have you tried out any of these nail polishes?  What are your thoughts?

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Influenster Becca Velvet Prime Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

I was recently sent the Becca Velvet Blurring Primer Perfecting Base in Apricot Haze for review.  In addition to a review, I also wanted to show you how this product looks alone on my skin and under foundation (those pictures are at the end of this post).

The bottle is soft touch packaging (similar to Nars packaging) with a pump.  The retail price is $38.00 for 1 oz. of product.  This primer is quite watery, but it somehow feels drying on my skin?!  It feels a bit chalky while I'm applying it to my face and it clings to any dry patches.  This would probably be great for people with oily skin.

Here's a swatch of what the primer looks like before it's blended out.  It has a light orange tint to it that fades away with blending.

These next three photos are of my bare face, my face with only the primer, and my face with makeup.

With the before and after photos, you can see that this primer did even out my skin tone a bit.  However, a full coverage foundation does the same for me.  This would be nice under a light coverage foundation or a BB/CC cream though.

Have you tried this primer?  What are your thoughts?

I hope this was helpful.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week!

Influenster Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip Voxbox Product Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been so far?

I was sent three shades of the new Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified lipsticks and the Line & Define lip primer for review.  Each lipstick retails for $24.00 and contains 0.25oz of product and are available in 12 shades (plus an exclusive shade for Sephora VIB Rouge members).  These are creamy, moisturizing, and highly pigmented.  I found that the demi-glaze satin finish doesn't completely dry down and will unfortunately transfer.  However, these lipsticks are comfortable to wear and they smell amazing!  The lip primer retails for $22.00 and contains 0.05oz of product.  I really appreciate that there is a removable sharpener at the bottom of the tube.  This primer is nourishing while it extends the wear time of lipstick and prevents feathering.  The consistency is silky and lightweight.  If you're anything like me, you'll quite enjoy the minty scent of this primer.  Bite Beauty lip products are made with natural and organic ingredients and are free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.
