Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette Review + Swatches

I purchased my very first contour palette recently.  The one I chose was the Shade & Light palette from Kat Von D.  I've loved every Kat Von D product I've ever had, so this decision was an obvious one for me.  The contour shades are smooth and creamy so they're easy to blend.  I know I'll never use the darkest shade for contouring, but I can always use it as an eyeshadow so it doesn't go to waste.

Sephora Favorites - Summer Obsessions (Sephora Inside JCPenney Exclusive)

One of the lovely ladies I follow on Instagram posted a picture of this pack and I immediately went out and purchased it as well.  It's sold exclusively at Sephora inside of JCPenney stores for $39 (total value is $120!).  It's an 8 piece set that includes a pink makeup bag, Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in the shade Fearless (1.5 g), a black Beauty Blender Pro makeup sponge (full size), Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes waterproof mascara (4 ml), Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up highlighter (2.5 g), Too Faced Cosmetics Chocolate Soleil bronzer (4 g), Nars lip gloss in the shade Turkish Delight (6 ml), and Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray (1 fl 0z).

I'm most excited about trying the Beauty Blender.  I have a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge which I like, but I heard that nothing beats the Beauty Blender.

What do you think about this value set?  I think it's an incredible deal for everything that you get.  It's also a great way to try out products without committing to paying full price for them.  Out of these products I've only tried two of them before (the Benefit Cosmetics highlighter and the Urban Decay setting spray), but I like them both so I don't mind having extras.

BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette Review & Swatches

I recently posted a makeup look on my Instagram page and was going to leave a link to my blog post on this palette only to realize that I never actually created a blog post with swatches from this palette.  I've had this baked eyeshadow palette for about a year now and I still love it.  It's available on BH Cosmetics' website here, and they almost always have sales going on.  If you follow them on social media they sometimes give out promo codes for extra savings.  This line is very affordable.  The only down side to this line is that it's only available online.  The shadows in this palette are nicely pigmented.  The packaging is cheaply made, but you can't really ask for too much considering the price.  They've also recently redone the front cover so it doesn't look as childish.

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush Swatches

I recently picked up two of the three Sweetheart blushes from Too Faced during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty event.  The shades I purchased are Candy Glow and Something About Berry.  I decided not to buy the shade Peach Beach because it's a bronze-y peach shade that I feel is too dark for me to wear.  During the event at Ulta these blushes were half off (originally $30 each) which was such a great deal.  I've been coveting these blushes for so long.  The packaging is obviously adorable and the pigmentation is amazing.  I've swatched all three shades in each blush individually and mixed together.
