Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Studded Kiss Lip Set Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  David's 29th birthday was on the 10th and our 7th anniversary was on the 13th so we celebrated both over the weekend.  <3  At the end of this post I have a couple of exciting little announcements and photos.  ;)

For this week's post, I'm going to share with you my review and swatches of the Mi Vida Loca lip set from Kat Von D.  This set is limited edition for the holidays and retails for $42 at Sephora.  Inside you get one full size limited edition shade called Gold Blooded in white studded packaging and seven mini size shades from the permanent range (Halo, Coven, NaYeon, Bachelorette, Wolvesmouth, Sexer, and Noble) in the original black studded packaging.

Packaging

Gold Blooded

 Halo

NaYeon

 Sexer

Bachelorette

Wolvesmouth

Coven

Noble

These are very opaque and creamy.  The only shade I'm really disappointed with is NaYeon.  Mine wasn't creamy - it was kind of waxy.  It also showed up as a very light, almost translucent, grey with silver shimmer instead of black with silver shimmer.  The other two shades that I know I won't be wearing too often are Halo and Coven.  They're beautiful shades and they're creamy, but I don't wear those types of shades most days.  I'm very excited about the rest of these though.

My first little "exciting announcement" is that I  reached Sephora's VIB Rouge status for the very first time.  You'd think with how much money we spend in a year to reach VIB Rouge Sephora could do a little more than just a mini lipstick as a gift, but it is cute and a beautiful color.

I also want to mention that I was one of the winners from Kat Von D Beauty's instagram giveaway a few weeks ago!  Kat bought 5 Bow & Arrow Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks while she was in Spain and gave them away to 5 of her US followers since this shade has been out of stock at Sephora for a VERY long time.  It's a beautiful shade and I can't thank Kat and her team enough for this!

I hope this was helpful.  Thanks for stopping by!
*Nail polish in bottom two photos is "Every Month is Oktoberfest" from OPI's Germany collection.*
