Makeup Forever Arist Palette Volume 2 - Artistic Review + Swatches

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

I saw this Makeup Forever palette on the Sephora website's sale section and decided to pick it up.  It was originally $42 and was on sale for $34.  (I also had a code for an extra 10% off which brought this palette down to $30.60!)  This is my first time trying out Makeup Forever eyeshadows, and I figured this was a good place to start since it was on sale.

This is a limited edition palette and the second installment of three limited edition nine pan palettes - Volume 1 is nudes, Volume 2 is brights, and Volume 3 is florals.  The shadows are 0.06 oz each (note* the full size single shadows are 0.07 so they're only a tad bit smaller and they cost $21 each) and the shades are: I-872, ME-910, S-924, D-552, ME-232, ME-302, ME-512, ME-700, and ME-930.

These are so smooth and pigmented.  There is only one shade I'm a little disappointed in as far as pigmentation goes, and that's the lighter purple shade (bottom row on the left).  For the swatch photo, I had to go over with that shade about three times to get the pigmentation that I did.  It's still a beautiful color, but it's just not as pigmented as I expected it to be.

The packaging itself seems quite sturdy.  It definitely has a bit of weight to it.  There's a decently sized mirror inside.  The area around the shadows is actually foam.  I'm not sure how I feel about that because it seems like it will get dirty fairly quickly.  The artwork on the front is cool, but nothing too special in my opinion.  Also included with the palette is a little booklet with more information and three pictorials.

Have you used Makeup Forever products before?  I've used some other makeup products from this brand, but this was my first time trying their shadows.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great rest of the week as well as a great weekend!
