Hi, everyone! I hope you're having a great week!
I have an Influenster VoxBox to review for you. I'm sure some of you know that I'm a member of Influenster which is a product review and testing website. Based on your activity on the site and your social impact (linking your social media accounts to their website), you can be chosen to receive products to test and review. This time I received the SlimFast VoxBox. SlimFast has reformulated some of their products with their new Advanced Nutrition Formula. Their replacement bars and shakes claim to curb hunger for four hours and their snacks are supposed to satisfy hunger between meals.
This box contained four products from SlimFast: one "Vanilla Cream" Advanced Nutrition Ready to Drink shake, one "Sour Cream and Onion" Baked Crisps Advanced Nutrition 100 Calorie Snack pack, one "Dark Chocolate Sea Salt" Advanced Nutrition Meal Replacement bar, and one "Cinnamon Bun Swirl" Drizzled Crisps Advanced Nutrition 100 Calorie Snack pack.
Obviously, there aren't enough products in this box to actually get a thorough review as to whether or not these really do help you lose weight. All I can really tell you is if they satisfy hunger for four hours as they claim and if these products taste any good.
I used these products over two days. In the mornings I made myself a green smoothie for breakfast (like I usually do), for lunch I had one of the meal replacements, and during the afternoons I ate one of the snack packs.
Day 1
I had the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt meal replacement bar for lunch. It's quite sticky from the honey, so I had to use the wrapper as a barrier to prevent my fingers from getting sticky. This contains peanuts and almonds so anyone with nut allergies should definitely avoid this product. Otherwise, this tastes pretty good and I didn't feel hungry for a few hours. For my snack I had the Sour Cream and Onion baked chips. These taste just like regular Sour Cream and Onion chips, but obviously they're baked instead of fried. This is a good replacement option for those who like to snack on chips.
Day 2
I was going to have the Vanilla Cream meal replacement shake for lunch, but it tasted so awful that I dumped it out after two sips. It smells fine, but the taste is something that I could not get past. I'm sure I could've choked it down if I had to, but I'm not one for choking down gross food. I saw reviews for the meal replacement shakes and these vanilla flavored ones have a lower review than the chocolate flavor, so if you want to give these shakes a try check out the chocolate ones first. For my snack I had the Cinnamon Bun Swirl drizzled crisps. These were really good. They're essentially just mini rice cakes with cinnamon and a white icing drizzled over the top.
That concludes my review of these products. Like I said earlier, I have no idea if these products actually aid in weight loss because I only had enough products for one meal replacement and one snack each day. They recommend two of their meal replacements and one of their snacks each day in addition to one 500-600 calorie meal of your choice. I did notice though that the meal replacement bar satisfied my hunger for about four hours like they claim. I probably wouldn't waste my money on their snacks though. They're pretty expensive for a 5 pack. I'd rather snack on fruits/vegetables instead.

*I received these products complimentary for testing purposes but all opinions are my own.*
