My Makeup Collection: Blush

Hello, everyone!  I hope you had a nice weekend!

For this week's "My Makeup Collection", we're diving into my collection of blushes.  I never used to wear blush because my face already has redness in it, but thanks to color correcting products, I've actually been able to play around with blush, and I've really been enjoying it.  So without further ado, here are all of my blushes!

Too Faced: Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blushes in the shades Peach Beach, Something About Berry, and Candy Glow.

Benefit Cosmetics: Dandelion boxed blush, Dallas boxed blush, Majorette, Benetint, and Lollitint.

BH Cosmetics: Floral Blush Duos in the shades Rose, Tulip, Lilac, Daisy, and Iris.

Nars: Orgasm and Starscape (LE).

Brands that I only have one product from: Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Fearless, Milani Cosmetics blush in Romantic Rose, Hikari Cosmetics blush in Tango, Maybelline blush in Wash of Winter (LE), Revlon Matte Powder Blush in Blushing Berry, Model Co. blush in Peach Bellini, Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in Glow Blush, DuWop Blush Therapy in Elixir, and Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Pink Escape.

Those are all of the blushes that I own so far.  I hope you enjoyed this installment of My Makeup Collection.

What are some of your favorite blushes?  Thanks for stopping by!

Purple & Gold Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're having a good week.  I had an extra two days off from work unexpectedly and the weather has been nice, so I've had a pretty great week so far!

For today's post I have my second tutorial for you.  It's a look that I saw Kiki (@luciferismydad on Instagram) do a few years back, and it's one of my all time favorites.  I love the look of gold and purple together.  Well, gold and any other color pretty much.  For this look I'll supply you with a list of products that I used, but you can use whatever you have on hand.

For this look I used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion (original)
Urban Decay eyeshadow in W.O.S.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On eyeliner pencil in Voodoo
Sugarpill eyeshadow in Poison Plum
Sugarpill loose pigment in Goldilux
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet eyeliner pencil in Black Velvet
Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day black liquid eyeliner
Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow
Smashbox Cosmetics Brow Tech
Benefit Cosmetics High Brow
Urban Decay Perversion mascara

First, I prepped my eyes, meaning I applied primer and set it with a shadow close to my skin tone (UD W.O.S.).

Next, I applied a purple eyeliner as a base for the purple shadow.  I only applied the liner to the inner and outer edges of my lid and lower lash line leaving an empty space in the center.  The eyeliner I used has shimmer/glitter in it.  If you have a matte purple liner, that would probably work better.  (Don't worry about it looking rough, we'll blend it out.)

To blend out the edges of the liner and to deepen the color, I applied a matte purple shadow over the top of the liner and blended until there were no rough edges.  I also connected the inner and outer sections in the crease for a halo effect.

Now for the gold.  I packed on the gold pigment to the empty sections on my lid and lower lash line.  Then I blended out the areas where the purple and gold touch so there were no rough lines.

Next, I applied a black pencil liner to my lower waterline.  I also used that same black pencil liner to tight line.  I then applied a black liquid eyeliner to my upper lash line.

I filled in my eyebrows using Gimme Brow and Brow Tech pencil.

To highlight my brow bone, I used High Brow from Benefit Cosmetics and blended it out.

Finally, I applied black mascara.  If you like to wear false lashes now would be the time to apply them.  For me, false lashes are uncomfortable and lash glue irritates my eyes so I rarely wear them.  But here is our finished look!

I hope you liked this tutorial!  It might be a bit too bright or dramatic for some, but I personally enjoy wearing looks like this.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Collection

Hello, everyone!  I hope you've had a good week so far.  I sure have and here's why...

Back in December, First Aid Beauty held a "12 Days of Giving" giveaway on their Instagram page.  They announced the winners of the giveaways last week and I was one of the lucky ones to win a prize!  I received my package in the mail yesterday and I thought I'd show you what I won.  I was one of three winners of the Day 10 prize which was their entire Skin Rescue line.  I've only tried one product from their Skin Rescue line and that was the Deep Cleanser (I received a deluxe sample with a purchase from Sephora ages ago).  I liked the cleanser, but I haven't gotten around to trying out anything else from this collection.  This collection includes a Deep Cleanser with Red Clay, a Purifying Mask with Red Clay, an Oil-Free Mattifying Gel, a Daily Face Cream, and a tub of Blemish Control Pads.  All five products are safe for sensitive skin and allergy tested.  The Blemish Control Pads and the Daily Face Cream are both fragrance free as well.

I currently use their Pure Skin Face Cleanser and Ultra Repair Cream daily.  I've been loving FAB products lately for my skincare and I can't wait to try these!

Have you tried anything from FAB's Skin Rescue collection?  I'm pretty excited to try these products out!

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU again to First Aid Beauty for hosting an amazing giveaway and gifting me these products!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Friday and weekend!
