June 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're having a great week!

Today I have my Boxycharm unboxing to share with you!

This month's theme is "Girls Just Wanna Have Sun".  I've tried one brand in this month's box before (Ofra liquid lipstick), but the rest are all new to me!  The only brand in this box that I've never heard of before is Cougar Beauty.  I don't recall seeing their products anywhere really.  I've heard great things about Farmacy, LVX, and Girlactik though, so I'm very excited to try them!

Cougar Beauty - Mineral Face & Body Shimmer in Diamond Kiss ($16)

Farmacy - Coconut Gel Mask Medley Brightening ($24 for a 3 pack)

Girlactik - Precise Eyeliner Marker in black ($20)

LVX - Nail Lacquer in Serene ($18)

Ofra Cosmetics - Oil Control Pressed Powder ($39.95)

This month's box comes to a total value of $117.95!  As usual, all of the products are full size.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

My Makeup Collection: Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello, everybody!  How was your weekend?

Today's post is very special because I'm going to show you one of my favorite makeup products (palettes!!!), and this is also the last installment of the My Makeup Collection series.  It's a bittersweet moment for me.

*Just like the lipstick blog post, I grouped palettes together by brand.*
Urban Decay - Pic 1 = Naked 1, 2, 3, Smoky, On The Run, Basics 1 & 2  Pic 2 = Vice LTD & Vice 4 Pic 3 = Electric, Smoked, Ammo, and Gwen Stefani
I'm not even going to deny the fact that most of my palettes are from Urban Decay.

Coastal Scents - 252 Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette

Lorac Cosmetics - Pro Palette 1 & 2

NYX Cosmetics - The Crimson Amulet Palette

Kat Von D Beauty - Shade + Light Eye, Monarch, Mi Vida Loca Remix, and Chrysalis

Sephora x Minnie Mouse Brush Set - Brush Up On Glamour/Minnie's Beauty Tools

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

I received a Sephora gift card from a friend for my birthday, and I decided to use it towards the brush set from the Sephora and Minnie Mouse collaboration.  *I'm working on buying the entire collection...well, minus the blush because I don't think that's coming back in stock.*

I've read mixed reviews on this brush set.  So far, I like the brushes.  Quite a few reviews said the brushes were scratchy, but I don't find that to be true.  (I should mention that I'm not a brush snob, so maybe they're not that good and I just don't know any better! lol)  The brush holder seems sturdy enough and holds the brushes in place very well.  Not to mention, it looks freaking adorable!

What are your thoughts on this brush set?  If nothing else, these brushes are dang cute.  A definite must have for any Minnie Mouse fanatic!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a nice weekend!

My Makeup Collection: Lipsticks

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

This week's MMC is very exciting because I'm going to show you all of my lipsticks (including liquid lipsticks)!

I'm going to be quite honest here and say, I don't think I could ever have "too many" lipsticks.  Specifically red lipstick.  Red is my favorite color, so obviously red lipstick is what I have the most of.  I don't care if they're all similar shades of red, I still need them all!  ;)

(I'm going to show you my lipsticks by brand because I think that's the most organized way to show everything.)  *I'd like to apologize in advance that some of the lipsticks look "sweaty", it was over 90 degrees when I was taking these pictures!*

First up is MAC.  I didn't purchase my first MAC lipstick until I was about 22.  My parents didn't have a lot of money when I was growing up, so spending $15 on one lipstick was simply not going to happen.  Then I was a broke college student, so again, spending $15 on a lipstick was unthinkable.  I remember being sooooo excited when David took me to the MAC counter inside Nordstrom and let me pick out a lipstick and a lipglass for my birthday.  I bought the Viva Glam 5 lipstick and Viva Glam 6 lipglass (they look amazing together!).  I had been wanting to pick up the Viva Glam 5 lipstick since it first came out.  If you know me, you know that I've always been a massive Christina Aguilera fan, and she was the face for Viva Glam 5.  My second purchase from MAC were two lipsticks in the shades Ruby Woo and Candy Yum Yum.  And now I'm kind of addicted to buying the limited edition collections.  Haha!

L-R: Viva Glam Miley (LE), Viva Glam 5, Ruby Woo, Charlotte (LE Giambattista Valli), Evening Rendezvous (LE Magic of the Night), Candy Yum Yum, Free as a Butterfly (LE Cinderella), Viva Glam Rihanna (LE), Without Your Love (LE Ellie Goulding), Von Teese (LE Dita Von Teese), Tats (LE Giambattista Valli), Eugenie (LE Giambattista Valli), Goddess of the Sea (LE Alluring Aquatics), and Steam Heat (LE Wash & Dry).

Next is Lime Crime.  I honestly don't like to promote their makeup anymore, but I spent so much of my hard earned money on their products that I'm not about to throw away what I have.  I did actually give away two of my LC lipsticks to a friend (a blue shade and a yellow shade that I knew I wouldn't use often if at all).  I haven't purchased anything from them since the huge identity theft scandal that happened last year.  I considered leaving their products out of this series, but like I said, I spent a TON of money on what I have so I decided to leave them in.  Besides, it wouldn't really be an entire collection series if I left things out, would it?  Anyway, here's what I still have from them.

L-R: Serpentina, Centrifuschia, Glamour 101, Retrofuturist, Countessa Fluorescent, Poisonberry, and Mint To Be.

Now, we have my YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks.  All four of my YSL lipsticks are from last year's Kiss & Love collection.  (I'm telling you, these limited edition collections get me every time!)  I love the added red lips to the packaging and the lip details on the actual lipsticks themselves.  These are so creamy and feel very comfortable on the lips.  Not to mention, the shades are gorgeous!  There was one other lipstick from this collection that I didn't purchase which was an orange shade.  I don't think orange lipsticks look good on me though, so that's why I didn't pick it up and also why you won't see any orange lipsticks in my entire collection.

L-R: Le Nu (#70), Black Red - Sephora VIB Rouge exclusive (#71), Le Fuchsia (#19), and Le Rouge (#01).

I only have one Laura Mercier lipstick.  It came in the Sephora Favorites "Paint It Pink" set that I purchased a few months ago.  It's in the shade French Kiss.

I have two lipsticks from Clinique.  Both were given to me as gifts.  I actually really like these lipsticks (as I'm sure you'll be able to tell) because they feel comfortable and smooth.  I do kind of forget about them though.

L-R: Blushing Nude and Rose Taffy.

I recently picked up a Flower Beauty lip butter.  Honestly, it's a nice shade and it feels fine on the lips, but I cannot get over the scent.  It smells so strongly of chemicals!  I just ended up throwing this away.  Luckily, it was on clearance at Wal-Mart, so I don't feel too bad about tossing this.  I don't know the shade name for this because it's not written anywhere one the packaging and I can't find it online.

Now, we have Kat Von D lipsticks and liquid lipsticks.  I love KVD's makeup!  Everything is such high quality and the packaging is just as amazing every single time.  KVD is my current obsession right now.  I feel like I need everything she makes.  (I forgot about the mini lipsticks until after the photo was taken, so they're in a separate photo.)

L-R: Everlasting liquid lipsticks in Bow & Arrow, Jeffree, Lolita, Lolita 2, and Bachelorette, lipsticks in Gold Blooded and Archangel, and mini lipsticks in Halo, Sexer, NaYeon, Coven, Bachelorette, Noble, and Wolvesmouth.

I have two Rimmel London Show Off lip lacquers that I won from a brand badge on the Influenster website.  The shades are beautiful, but these really dry out my lips.

L-R: Big Bang and Nude Eclipse.

I have one Mally Beauty liquid lipstick that I got for free (along with the matching lip liner) from Ulta.  This shade is freaking gorgeous!  (Of course I would say that...)  Honestly, I don't wear this as much as I should.  It's such a beautiful red.  This is the shade Crimson.

I have one mini Marc Jacobs lipstick that I got last year from Sephora for reaching VIB Rouge status.  This is nice for traveling since it's so tiny.  It's also, surprise surprise, a beautiful red.  This is the shade So Rouge.

I have two lipsticks that came in the last Sephora & Hello Kitty collection box set.  I forget that I even have these because I keep them (as well as everything else) in the box.  lol

L-R: Cherry Red and Coral Crush.

I have one Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in the shade Pout.  I bought this shortly after I started to really get into the makeup community.  I like the sleek packagingThe Laura Mercier lipstick packaging is very similar.

I purchased this limited edition Givenchy Couture Edition lipstick last year from Sephora.  This is the shade Fuchsia Irresistible.  The packaging on this lipstick is phenomenal!  The lipstick itself is just as nice.  It's creamy and incredibly pigmented.  I really "need" to pick up this year's limited edition lipstick.  The packaging and the lipstick look beautiful!

I have two lipsticks from the Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani collaboration.  These are the typical UD formula, creamy and pigmented.  Of course, the packaging is nice too.

L-R: Rock Steady & Spiderweb

I have one L'Oreal lipstick that I've had for a little while now.  It's a beautiful coral shade that's perfect for this time of the year.  This is the shade Tropical Coral.

I just recently received my first Ofra Cosmetics liquid lipstick from a Boxycharm box.  I have the shade Pasadena.  These are one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks that I've ever tried!  I can't wait to try out some more shades!

I have one mini Too Faced Melted lipstick in the shade Melted Peony.  This is a pretty pink shade that's perfect for this time of the year.

I have two Bite Beauty mini lipsticks in the shades Bellini and Kir Royale.  These are insanely creamy and pigmented!

My sister gave me this Pacifica lipstick that she received from one of her Ipsy bags.  This is very comfortable, and is a nice everyday shade.  This is in the shade Nudie Red.

I have a few items from NYX Cosmetics.  I have three Soft Matte Lip Cremes, one Butter Lipstick, one Matte Lipstick, and one Liquid Suede cream lipstick.  (The Liquid Suede is in a separate picture because I forgot to add it in to the "group" picture and I didn't want to take all of the others out again to redo the photo.)

L-R: Soft Matte lip creams in Transylvania, London, and Copenhagen, Butter lipstick in Little Susie, Matte lipstick in Perfect Red, and Liquid Suede lip cream in Pink Lust/Passion Rose.

My sister also gave me this mini Buxom Wildly Whipped liquid lipstick from another one of her Ipsy bags.  This has a similar mousse-y formula like the Ofra Cosmetics liquid lipstick.  The shade is really nice too.  It's the shade Centerfold.

I have three Lip Tars and one Stained Gloss from OCC in their old packaging.  I'm glad they changed their packaging recently because I don't like these tubes at all.  They're very messy and difficult to deal with.  Which is why I rarely wear them.  But, they are very nice shades and they last for a long time.

L-R: Lip Tars in Harlot, Nylon, and Trollop, and Stained Gloss in New Wave.

I have one Make Up For Ever mini lipstick in the shade N9 - Copper Pink.  This is a beautiful everyday, natural shade.  Very pigmented and smooth.

And last, but certainly not least, is the Perfect Red lipstick from the Sephora & Minnie Mouse collection.  This really is the perfect shade of red.  I need to pick up another one (or two!) of these to keep as a backup because I love this so much.  And the packaging for this lipstick is awesome!  It's metal, so it's incredibly sturdy, and I love black and gold together.

And that's all of my lipsticks!  (For now...) ;)

I hope you have a great week, and thank you so much for stopping by!
