Influenster Kat Von D Voxbox Product Review

Hello, everyone!  How has your week been?

I am so excited for today's blog post because I recently received some of Kat Von D's newly released products from Influenster for review.  In this voxbox I received two of the newly repackaged Lock It concealers, a setting powder, an edge concealer brush, and a setting powder brush.  The total value of this voxbox is $144!

So Kat Von D recently revamped the packaging for her Lock It foundations and concealers, and I must say I like the look of this packaging better than the old packaging.

Lock-It Concealer Creme ($26.00 each)

I was asked to choose two shades to test out, so I picked one that I can wear now while I'm tanned (but still light enough to brighten under the eyes) and one that's lighter to use during the winter months when I'm very pale.  The darker shade is Light 3W and the lighter shade is Light 1N.  They're lightweight, but very full coverage.  A little goes a long way with this concealer!

Setting Powder ($30.00)

Lock-It Brushes - Setting Powder Brush ($38.00) & Edge Concealer Brush ($24.00)

The powder brush is soooo soft!  The concealer brush is pretty dense and the shape of it is different from any other concealer brush that I've seen.

And that is everything that was in my voxbox!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a good week!

*These products were sent to me complimentary for review, but all opinions are my own.*

June 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're having a great week!

Today I have my Boxycharm unboxing to share with you!

This month's theme is "Girls Just Wanna Have Sun".  I've tried one brand in this month's box before (Ofra liquid lipstick), but the rest are all new to me!  The only brand in this box that I've never heard of before is Cougar Beauty.  I don't recall seeing their products anywhere really.  I've heard great things about Farmacy, LVX, and Girlactik though, so I'm very excited to try them!

Cougar Beauty - Mineral Face & Body Shimmer in Diamond Kiss ($16)

Farmacy - Coconut Gel Mask Medley Brightening ($24 for a 3 pack)

Girlactik - Precise Eyeliner Marker in black ($20)

LVX - Nail Lacquer in Serene ($18)

Ofra Cosmetics - Oil Control Pressed Powder ($39.95)

This month's box comes to a total value of $117.95!  As usual, all of the products are full size.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

My Makeup Collection: Face Powders

Hello, everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!

For this week's MMC, we're going through my face powders.  I don't own many face powders because I feel like they make my makeup look cakey and I'm not a fan of that look!  I heard the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders are really good and so finely milled that they don't look cakey on the skin, so I'm thinking about giving those a try someday.

Here's what I have so far!

Rimmel London "Stay Matte" Pressed Powder in TranslucentA lot of people say amazing things about this powder, but I don't feel like it's really that special.  When I apply this it gets cakey and sometimes removes my foundation.

Bare Minerals "Mineral Veil" Loose Powder.  I like this for setting my concealer and it doesn't look too cakey over foundation.

Be A Bombshell "Smooth Criminal" Loose Powder.  I really like this powder.  It doesn't settle into my fine lines or pores and it smooths everything and makes my foundation look flawless.  However, I do not like this for baking!  I tried it once under my eyes and it left behind so much white powder that I couldn't brush away.  It was not cute.

Physician's Formula "Multi-Colored Corrector" in Green.  This was my first ever color correcting product.  I only use this when I'm wearing powder foundation, but it does a good job at correcting the redness on my face.

Guerlain "Meteorites Perles des Neiges" (Holiday 2015 LE Collection).  This powder leaves a soft, radiant look to the face when applied, but I try not to use it too much since it's limited edition and so freaking adorable!

So that's it for my powders!  If you have any recommendations for powders to try out, let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a good week!
