My Makeup Collection 2018: Lipgloss

Hello, everybody!  How was your weekend?  I, like most people, do not enjoying losing an hour of sleep, but the weather has been beautiful so I can overlook it.

Today's MMC is all about lipgloss.  I recently went through and threw out some old glosses, but I still have quite a few considering I don't particularly like lipgloss.  I love how it looks, but I don't enjoy the feel of them on my lips or when they get onto my face and in my hair.

Let's briefly address the obvious first.  I know most people prefer the clean look of bright white backgrounds, but I'm quite bored of them now.  It seems like most product photos that I come across have a white (or at least fairly light) background and they all start to blend into one another, so I want to try something different for a bit.  My favorite color is red, so I thought I'd try a red background for a while to see how that goes.  Let me know what you think in the comments!

NARS: Pink Glow, Mezmer, Orgasm, and Turkish Delight

Urban Decay: Sesso

MAC: Twerkquoise, Saint Germain, Sweet Strawberry, Viva Glam 6, Seducing Sound, Viva Glam Miley, Viva Glam Riri, and Domestic Diva

Minis: Bite Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind, and Make Up For Ever

Those are all of my lipglosses!  What is your favorite lipgloss formula?

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a fantastic week!

My Favorite Beauty Products of 2015

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend?

I wanted to give a little shout out to some of my favorite beauty products from the past year.  I have quite a few so let's just jump into it!

First up are two products from First Aid Beauty.  Their Face Cleanser and their Ultra Repair Cream.  I've said a few times before that the Ultra Repair Cream saved my face.  My face was so dry and flaky, but this stuff cleared all of that up.  I also really like the Face Cleanser because it leaves my skin feeling so clean without leaving behind any soapy residue or drying my skin out.

Next up is the YSL Effet Faux Cils mascara.  This mascara gave my lashes the length and volume that I wanted.  As an added bonus, it also has a nice scent to it.

Urban Decay came out with their Naked Smoky palette last year and it's amazing.  It's everything I hoped the Naked 2 would've been.  I like the Naked 2, but I think I'll use this Smoky palette much more often then the 2 palette.

Kat Von D also came out with another eyeshadow palette.  Its 12 neutral, matte shades are so pigmented and smooth and are perfect for everyday looks or dramatic looks.

I only started using the Batiste dry shampoo last year, and I'm so glad I finally gave in to the hype.  My favorite one is the tinted dry shampoo for dark brown hair.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil is another favorite from last year.  The Medium Ash/Brown shade matches my brow hair perfectly and is so easy to use.

The Becca Cosmetics and Jaclyn Hill collaboration is definitely one of my favorites.  The Champagne Pop pressed highlighter is divine.  It is seriously so stunning and looks amazing on so many different skin tones.

I tried out the Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day black liquid eyeliner this past year.  It's not as matte as I'd like it to be, but it's easy to use and it actually does last all day long.

I have another highlight favorite: the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in the shade 01.  This product is absolutely not matte.  Idk why it has "matte" in the name, but it is shimmery highlight perfection.

I've always been a fan of the movie Edward Scissorhands, and Sugarpill came out with a limited edition 25th anniversary palette for the movie.  As a fan of the movie, I HAVE to include this palette in my favorites!

Finally, I have the Starscape blush from the Nars and Christopher Kane collaboration.  It looks a little scary in the pan, but if you're light handed with it, it's absolutely beautiful.

That's all my favorite products from 2015!  What are some of yours?

Thanks for stopping by!

Christopher Kane for NARS Collection

Hello, everyone!  I hope you've all had an amazing week and weekend!  Update: mine was really good!  I won a giveaway on Instagram and won a MAC x Giambattista Valli limited edition lipstick.  I got the shade Tats, the one that I really wanted but didn't pick up before it sold out.  (I added the pictures of it on my MAC x Giambattista Valli blog post.)  I also received a direct message from Nars on Instagram asking for my address so they could send me a little thank you gift (an iPhone case and a velvet shadow stick in the shade Hollywoodland) for posting about Nars products.  I was definitely not expecting that to happen!  I'll post the pictures at the end of this post.  Thank you, Nars!  <3

Anyway, for this week's blog post, I'm going to show you my picks and swatches of the products I picked up from the Christopher Kane collection with NARS.  I know this collection came out earlier this year, but I've only just purchased these.  I purchased these items on Sephora's website, but unfortunately they're no longer available there. However, these products (and a few more) are available on NARS' website here.  I love that they added the touch of pink to their original packaging for this collection - I'm such a sucker for limited edition packaging.  After seeing swatches of the products from this collection I wish I had picked up the eyeshadow in the shade "Outer Limits" because it is gorgeous, but unfortunately it's sold out everywhere.

The products that I picked up are the "Starscape" blush and two lip glosses in the shades "Glow Pink" and "Mezmer".  The "Starscape" blush is neon pink, but it really isn't that intimidating once you swatch it.  It's a beautiful pink blush that you can build up depending on your desired intensity.  The "Glow Pink" lip gloss is a very, very sheer fuchsia.  The "Mezmer" lip gloss is a sheer neon pink (though not nearly as sheer as "Glow Pink").  These are not overly sticky on the lips.  I can't stand sticky lip gloss, but these are comfortable to wear.  The products (and packaging) are stunning!

And now here are the pictures of the things Nars sent to me.  :)

Thank you for stopping by!  If you haven't purchased anything from this collection, now is the time!  You definitely won't regret it.
