April 2016 Boxycharm Unboxing!

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're having a great week!

I finally signed up for my first monthly beauty subscription service earlier this month.  After looking at all the different monthly subscription services I decided that Boxycharm has the best value.  There are 4-5 full size products in every box which always add up to over $100 value but the box is only $21 a month.  This month's theme is "Cloudy With A Chance Of Charms".

Here's what I got!

Anderson Lilley Beach Butter Hand Cream "Manhattan Beach" - $24

Purlisse Lip Comfort "Daily Lip Nourisher" - $16

Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick "Pasadena" - $19.90

Blinc Cosmetics "Black Lash Primer" - $26

Your Minerals Eyeshadow "Brown Hypnotic" - $21

Here are swatches of the Ofra liquid lipstick and Your Minerals pigment.

The total for this box comes up to $106.90.  I've never tried any of these before and I can't wait to do so!  I'm pretty excited to see what's inside the upcoming boxes!  Are you subscribed to Boxycharm or any other subscription?  What are your thoughts?

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

My Makeup Collection: Face Powders

Hello, everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!

For this week's MMC, we're going through my face powders.  I don't own many face powders because I feel like they make my makeup look cakey and I'm not a fan of that look!  I heard the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders are really good and so finely milled that they don't look cakey on the skin, so I'm thinking about giving those a try someday.

Here's what I have so far!

Rimmel London "Stay Matte" Pressed Powder in TranslucentA lot of people say amazing things about this powder, but I don't feel like it's really that special.  When I apply this it gets cakey and sometimes removes my foundation.

Bare Minerals "Mineral Veil" Loose Powder.  I like this for setting my concealer and it doesn't look too cakey over foundation.

Be A Bombshell "Smooth Criminal" Loose Powder.  I really like this powder.  It doesn't settle into my fine lines or pores and it smooths everything and makes my foundation look flawless.  However, I do not like this for baking!  I tried it once under my eyes and it left behind so much white powder that I couldn't brush away.  It was not cute.

Physician's Formula "Multi-Colored Corrector" in Green.  This was my first ever color correcting product.  I only use this when I'm wearing powder foundation, but it does a good job at correcting the redness on my face.

Guerlain "Meteorites Perles des Neiges" (Holiday 2015 LE Collection).  This powder leaves a soft, radiant look to the face when applied, but I try not to use it too much since it's limited edition and so freaking adorable!

So that's it for my powders!  If you have any recommendations for powders to try out, let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a good week!

Influenster SK-II Voxbox Product Review: First Impressions

Hello, everyone!  I hope you've had a great week so far!

I was very excited when I found out that I would be receiving this Influenster voxbox to review.  I've always wanted to try SK-II products but they're insanely expensive.  In this box I received a 1 oz. bottle of the Facial Treatment Essence and one Facial Treatment Mask to test and review.  At Sephora, the Facial Treatment Essence retails for $99 for 2.5 oz of product and the Facial Treatment Mask retails for $17 for one mask.  To use the FTE, you shake a few drops into the palm of your hand and pat your hands together to warm up the liquid then you press the essence into your skin after cleansing and toning.

Facial Treatment Essence

Facial Treatment Mask

I don't feel as though I've been using the FTE long enough to give it a complete review just yet because I've only been using it for one week, but so far it hasn't broken me out and my redness is a bit less red.  I have really high hopes for this product, and I'm excited to see if my redness continues to calm down.  I plan to continue using the FTE and I'll come back and update later on.  The mask was a nice, thick cotton sheet mask that was just the right size instead of being huge and getting in my hair. After using the mask my face felt very hydrated and refreshed.

Here's a ridiculous photo of me wearing the Facial Treatment Mask.  The quality and lighting aren't good because I took this photo in the evening with my iPhone.

Have you tried these or any other SK-II products before?  What are your thoughts?

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

*These products were sent to me complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes but all opinions are my own.* #myessence #skii

My Makeup Collection: Lipgloss

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?  It's been sunny and warm here so David and I did a bit of yard work (wow, much surprise...) and took an impromptu trip to the beach.

For this week's MMC, we're diving into my lipgloss collection.  I don't really use lipgloss too often because I hate the sticky feeling and when my hair gets in it, but here's what I have...

NARS: Mezmer, Pink Glow, and Turkish Delight

LimeCrime: Candy Apple and Cherry On Top

MAC: Viva Glam 6, Viva Glam Miley, Domestic Diva, Sweet Strawberry, Seducing Sound, and Viva Glam Riri

Avon

Bite Beauty

Misc.: Urban Decay, Pure Romance, Victoria's Secret, Maybelline, Marc Jacobs, Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind, Makeup Forever, Tarte, and Starlooks.

And that's all for my lipgloss collection.  Honestly, I had a few more, but I had forgotten about them and they were reallyyyyyy old so I tossed them.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week!

Hello Kitty x OPI Nail Lacquer Collection + Nail Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I hope you're having a great week so far!

Back in January, OPI collaborated with Sanrio's Hello Kitty and released a limited edition collection consisting of 12 nail polish shades (along with one special edition shade).  I've been slowly adding each one to my collection over these past few months, and I finally have them all (special thanks to Ulta for having them on sale for $4.97 each recently)!  I'm loving all the pink shades, but I also have a couple unexpected favorites.  First is the blue polish "My Pal Joey".  It's just such a vibrant, true blue.  I honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do.  The other shade is "Never Have Too Mani Friends".  I didn't think this black would be very opaque (like a lot of black polishes), but it is.  I'm very happy about this because I recently had to throw out my old black polish and no longer had a black shade.  Black polish is my favorite especially during Autumn.

Now, let's get into the swatches!

Say Hello Kitty! (Special edition shade)
  Look At My Bow!
  Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel
Charmmy & Sugar (over Let's Be Friends)
  Small + Cute = <3
  Let's Be Friends
  Kitty White
  Spoken From the Heart
  Never Have Too Mani Friends
  My Twin Mimmy
  5 Apples Tall
  My Pal Joey
  Super Cute in Pink

And there you have it!  How adorable is this collection?!  I've always been a Hello Kitty fan, so when I heard about this collaboration I knew I needed to have each and every one!

I hope you have a great rest of the week and thanks for stopping by!

My Makeup Collection: Primers/Setting Sprays

Hello, everyone!  How was your weekend?

Sorry there was no post on Thursday, I was on vacation and I just wanted to enjoy every bit of it before I had to return to regular life. lol

This week I'll be showing you all of my eye and face primers and setting sprays.  I have a TON of primer samples.  I honestly think primer and mascara are the two things I'll never run out of because I get samples of them all the time!

 Setting sprays

Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray and Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer Water

Primers

YSL's Touche Eclat Blur Perfecter and Blur Primer

MAC's Prep + Prime and Strobe Cream

Benefit Cosmetics' Dr. Feel Good and Porefessional

Bare Minerals' Blemish Remedy and Prime Time

Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Photo Finish Primer Oil, and Photo Finish Shadow Primer

Too Faced's Shadow Insurance and Primed and Poreless

Lorac's Behind the Scenes Eye Primer

Makup Forever's Step 1 Skin Equalizer

Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion

And those are my primers and setting sprays!  This isn't even including the small sample packs I have that I get from ordering online.

Do you have an overstock of deluxe samples like I do?  What do you do with yours?   Right now I keep them in a box for when I run out, but I might start giving some away.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a good day!
